I went to a deaf event and just because I was talking to some guys - there is already rumors that I am flirting and a slut. I was just practicing my sign.......and two I was not dressed sexy. I really hate that people judge so much......I dont know what to do - i feel like yelling at the people with the wrong ideas but that is not gonna get them to change their opinions of me. I just ignoring them but feeling a bit helpless.

don't let them get to you...the only reason they are insulting you is that they just want you to be mad at them and pick a fight with them...they only embrassassing themselves when they call someone "SHE'S A WHORE SHE'S A WHORE!" online and i would go like, "uh...okay?" because it isn't always true until you REALLY know the person, even if you met the person OFFLINE.

so just ignore anyone whose saying false statements about you...they aren't worth it.
 
Steel is right -- just ignore them and like Liza said they have too much time on their hands -- some ppl would like to be going around creating stories abt ppl just to piss them off --

itll blow over in time no worries and u will have proven them otherwise :D
 
Don't let the grapevine get you down.

It happened to me before when I heard the false rumors about myself when I moved to a new city few years ago. I figured out that people didn't have better things to do down in there and got jealous of my success so few of them want to degrade my image by spreading the false information to some people in the community by saying that I am a slut. I was purely innocent at this time, making a request to a ride to home after a stupid guy hitting me in a non-sense way when I was not comfortable at the party and I don't even look sexy at all. So, I can relate this quite well with you when you brought it up.

Hang in there - laugh about it and stand strong. And you are the ONLY one who KNOW yourself quite WELL! :)
 
I've been in the middle of MANY rumors, too. Some people have nothing better to do that to create falsehoods or twist around stories about you. I just try to laugh at the rumors, but some of them do hurt really bad. But you can't let them stop your life. I bet you're a really nice girl. Keep your chin up and keep that pretty smile on. :D
 
rumors are just for immatures who can't handle thier own truth! let it go u ll be fine .....

Yeah i am worried cuz like you said new city....it is a new world - the deaf world, I dont want to have a bad reputation already :( and I know the people saying shit about me, they are being so hypocritical, so I was shocked to hear that..... I feel uneasy about being with deaf people now.....
 
rumors sucks and whoever made rumors about u babyphat21 shows that they are jealous over u for no reason :roll: but don't worry just ingore the idiots who have nothing better to do besides gossip and backstab ur name otherwise u are better off without whoever is jealous to be your friend and be grateful u have friends who does believe in u ;)

Oh I really hate Goddamn rumors! I feel for you Babyphat! What you felt about them is perfectly normal, but what you did - ignore them - is the right thing to do! You're smarter than them! Don't let them change you for who, what and the way you are. Just be yourself and :fu2: them. You continue to go anywhere you wanna go and enjoy yourself! You've got great friends here and don't you forget that! :D HUGS!!
 
Hey Babyphat ignore them. They got nothin better to do but spread rumors about you so they can be cool. Also they dont know anything about you. So they start shit so they can make you feel bad. Just walk away from them and dont feel helpless. You got your good friends to back you up also your guard too. :) It seems that deaf world spread rumors more than hearing world. Whats up with that? This is the reason why I hang around the real world mostly to get away from the rumors.

ingore the rumors, if you do they won't start rumors again-- unless you dafsj;df wit them, they will keep going on
