Royal Wedding

?

From agriculture, mostly. Prince Charles sells vegetables, believe it or not. Plus there are other income-generating uses, like selling the wool from sheep bred on the estates, that sort of thing. Do a google search on British royal estates; you'll find a lot of info if you're interested.

oh gotcha. :ty:

Catherine is no Diana. I hope she treat Prince William good.

I hope William is better husband that his father was to Diana! Charles cheated on Diana with his horse face girlfriend! I did not watch the wedding , I will be glad when not on TV any more! It cost $50 millions!! The taxpayers had to pay for most of the cost!

According to an article in The Telegraph (a British newspaper), both the horse and the rider are fine.

Probably one of those things where the horse got spooked, the rider didn't adequately control it, the street was slippery, maybe the shoes weren't quite right - and then whoops, accidents happen. I'm glad they're both all right too; it would be a terrible thing to happen if either one were seriously injured on this beautiful day. Or any day, of course, but you know what I mean.

I got up early in the a.m. to watch it (turned the TV on when the royals were getting into the cars to go to the Abbey), and we just spent the last couple hours watching it all again. (Also I was crocheting a baby blanket, so time was not totally wasted.) Amazing how entrancing this stuff can be.

She really is a gorgeous young woman, and they seem very devoted to each other. They did well in choosing each other, and in waiting to marry until they were both very, very sure. It was a beautiful event.

I'm inspired to buy a hat for my nephew's wedding in June. ;-)

If William and Catherine want to have a private life for the first two years of their marriage, good luck on that. Someone will spot them and they will be posted on the Internet in a matter of seconds. If they wish to live in seclusion; they need to move to an area where no one knows them or simply don't care who they are to begin with and just live in a small apartment and each of them gets a regular job and act like a young newlywed couple.

However, I respect his wishes for a private life. I hope the media leaves them alone for the time being.

I saw pics here and there. I did love the dress.

The horse was spooked.....I can tell by it's body language. Probably flashes. Horses hate flashes.

Judging by the white marks on the road just behind the horse's quarters, the horse probably got bit startled then slipped, common problem that cannot be avoided at all, I ride horses all the time, It had been VERY dry april all the roads/tarmac in UK is slippery as an ice rink, no training or different shoes would have made any difference. Also it's very warm for us british, these horses may have been standing so long with alot of weight on their back then suddenly have to move on quickly (bit like head rush) I believe that they would have been given salt/sugared water as soon they finished their duties.

It was an amazing wedding, as I am not keen in watching the TV or take notice of the royal but yesterday, I HAD to watch! it brought tears, I drove to my friend's after breakfast to watch it on his big TV and have BBQ. Then when the wedding was over I went riding with a friend. Later I had to go to work, it was DEAD!! the manager had wished they close at 7 instead of 10.... I am glad of the money and we have been drinking bucks fizz, talking and got told off for talking too much LOL...

They are already leading pretty much normal life in remote Wales with William working for RAF rescue and search, I hope they contiune to be able to do that post wedding. I am sure it will when the hype had calmed down. William has his feet firmly on the ground, I am sure he will make sure that happens.

The late Princess Diana would have been SO proud of William! It's traditional for the royal bride and groom to kiss on the balcony.
