Ron Paul on Michele Bachmann: ‘She Hates Muslims’

It says something very distrubing.

Yes, it does. The fear is not based on the religion at all. It is based on a mistaken perception of the color of the skin of people who practice the Muslim religion. It goes all the way back to the stereotype of the "dark skinned savage". People are reacting to generationally transmitted fears and stereotypes and don't even realize what they are reacting to. It is sad, really, that people actually believe that it is the religion they are afraid of, especially since the vast majority don't know anything what so ever what the Muslim religion is about. Hell, most can't even pronounce it correctly.:P

Hitler did it with the Jews; America is doing it with the Muslim population. And blind followers can't even see the parallels. Scary, it is.

Damn now that's disturbing.

Chances are they will choose to remain ignorant of their own motives, however, and continue to eat the fear that the conservative politicians are feeding them.

It makes me wonder if the people will ever see thru this.

Well, many already have. It would seem that those who don't simply don't want to go to the trouble of actually looking at anything in depth and honestly. Too much trouble. Much easier to stay ignorant and blame everyone else while feeling morally superior based on a lack of understanding.

I wish people would stop being lazy and start being honest.

The whole idea of converting others is a practice unique to Christians, and even then, mostly to Protestant Christians. I mean, how many Jews or Muslims do you see walking around knocking on doors and leaving pamplets or offering to transport your kids to "Sunday school" on the church van?

Have Catholics ever gone door to door to get converts?

Well, Calvin? Feeling offended enough yet? :giggle:

TexasFred?:laugh2: Yeah, that inspires a vote of confidence!:laugh2:

See, here's the thing with the internet...you need to be selective when you Google. Any moron with a keyboard can start a blog. There is a reason why you don't find most bloggers contributing to reliable and vaild sources.

Not that I am aware of. They are generally against such practices. They just breed new members.:giggle:

I dunno about the Irish ones given their famous attitude toward sex! :giggle:

Since truthers are trying to establish that the US Government has no problem killing 3,000 innocent people, and tens of thousands in the conflict following 9/11 - then why wouldn't they kill off just a few more folks? What is just a few more lives to them to make sure this conspiracy is successful?
