I just purchased this from at&t curve. they cost me, $484.-- total. that is it. :P

imgunlockedattcurvefortbz6.jpg

I ordered unlock code online: GSM PhoneSource - When Only The Best Will Do, thats how I got it and put it on and unlocked curve for t-mobile server/data.

Unforunately, I can't receive email access thru tmobile nor internet browser. that is frustrate me! If I can't solve the curve's clue. I would return it to att store where I purchased to get my REFUND $$$. Or I selling unlock blackberry curve on ebay.. who know!

actualsizeps4.jpg

I resize picture, this exact actual size like real-live curve size.

I will update this post.

Just like I said "Hold ur pant tight" :ugh: Wait until Tmobile get it. They will configure it with it's own software. (Tmobile have Blackberry Dept).. I assume that it is an issue on BB Curve using T-Mobile's old BB software.. I rather wait until SPRINT get it. Then I would hop in the BB bandwagon. Maybe go to CrackBerry.com – The #1 Site for BlackBerry Users & Abusers website and join the blog!. Would that help?

IF Tmobile announced that they have Curve, Maybe you could ask Tmobile BB dept to assist walk through to solve browser and email issue. Either that you hold it for few months or refund it or sell it. I believe that Tmobile already have Curve in their dept working on software to get it working before it goes out in market.

Catty

That's because T-Mobile's BIS/BES servers for blackberry access aren't configured for the 8300. You're out of luck, buddy. Either stick with AT&T or return the phone.
Dennis, I refuse to buy at&t data plan. I stick to tmobile service and data plan. :)

Catty, remember this land is of freedom. I wanted to give me a try and expirement on unlocked at&t curve without regrets about that. I was successed to unlock blackberry curve's codes for any non-att sim card. I molested BB curve and played it! got an idea of the curve than go att store to test and play it for 15 mins.

Yeah, Crackberry forum is well-infomed!

Catty, unlock curve users and I had exact problems with tmobiles. I read other blackberry forums site. I did return it to att store today, I got my refund $$$. I can wait till tmobile release 8300 in few months.

You want to know what I think of the curve?

I unlocked my new Curve. tmobile browser, instant messging and personal email setup don't show on curve, even not working!. I resent the service books from tmobile.com and have access to my email accounts. I also went to the host routing tables and registered. Still nothing for 24 hours less. Unfortunately, I returned it to at&t store today.

I am back with my T-mobile 8700g, and waiting for something release the curve soon.

What my thought on the curve?

The 8300 is powerful one of the more solid handhelds. Its incredibly light too.

1. Curve is a bit smaller wide than 8700g. Curve is more slim sexy!, and 8700 is fat, as thick.

2. 8300 has a great form factor!

3. 8300 run an Intel XScale processor at 312 MHz as well 8700g, 8800, 8100 running on.

4. Media play is AWESOME smooth!

5. 8300 keyboard is same feeling of 8700 series. its not same treo keyboard, because Curve keyboard is more space and wide than treo kybd. Curve keyboard is really champ and crisp!

6. trackball is the best function, smooth, easy than trackwheel.

7. Screen resolution is same as 8700, nothing changes.

8. 8700 battery is capable on Curve, both are same battery.

9. Curve apps is same feature from 8700, but there is some new apps add on as Media, Camera, Music.

10. Camera is SUPER-AWESOME, honestly it is better than SK3 camera. Camera has zoom 1 to 5. picture is very crisp, no blurry. it like real p&s camera.

11. it doesn't come with a holster or case and Memory card. you have to buy case and MicroSD from store or blackberry store on your own.

I WANT MY CURVE! LOL!

I can wait till T-Mobile curve units hit on tmobile store in one to two months for real!

Thank you allow my thought share with you what i had experince with curve.

Nice! this will give me an idea what it be like. As for Freedom that you mentioned. I was saying about the unlocked BB Curve using Tmobile. It's seem the issue with it's software that was not ready. I don't mind experimenting Unlocked BB if I had $$'s and play with it. Tmobile and other Cellular companies are building new software to work with their Cellular network. I HOPE Tmobile decide to have include PAM!! IF they do then I would get it since I'm Tmobile customer. IF NOT then I would go for Sprint.

I read about AT&T (Cincular) and monthly charge on Data. It must include voice too. I don't like their plans. They're plain stupid cuz they should have known Deafie can't just use voice. I didn't find "PAM" include. Forget it.

Glad you got money back from AT&T. I will call Tmobile and ask QQs and perhap ask if they can include PAM since Sprint have it. Maybe they will propose it. This would save me plenty $$'s just to purchase it w/ 2yr contracts.

Video-- Nice! I'm interested!!!

catty, i persnally had cingular's bb device and i had no problem with that data plan only on bb. - no voice plan. now i have PDA, 8125, with data plan only - no voice. i can use my pda tethered to my laptop like PAM whatever you called. it works fine. i learned that from cingular's own forums and instruction manuals in cingular.com.

quit whining and google yourself harder since u say negative commets about cingular/att. there are plenty informations about laptops tethered to cingular/att's bb device as modems. i have a feeling that att will release 3G bb in late summer or this coming fall. RIM hasnt announced about GSM 3Gbb yet but i have this feeling it ll come out this fall. Verizon and Sprint are lucky to provide EVDO bb devices. :)

as i have left several posts before, cingular/att does offer deaf plan to deaf users which is called TAP(text accessiblity plan) unlimited data plan with 5000 text msgs for 30 dollars a month. TAP can be used on 8125, 8525, blackack, and nokia e62. i cant rememeber what other device are. TAP does include PAM. att are working on blackberry plan like TAP for deaf bb user. as far as i know there is 35 dollars for personal data plan for bb device. if you want text msgs on bb then 45 dollars bucks for unlimited internet plan and 1k text msgs.

patty, i forget to add my post...

if you google yoursef on PAM since u always talk about PAM in those posts, you can find the better words, 'tether, blackberry'. everyone knows what tether means in mobile/computer language. good luck.

No problem, I will research more. I only went thru one of other website that annouced AT&T BB Curve and it's payment plan. I couldn't find info in AT&T's homepage cuz BB Curve haven't came out till this month.

As for BB's tethered modem (thank for advice, sorry I'm too technicial LOL). In other blog "Want say something about BB".. dkf747 did provided excellent information about tethered modem configuration for all Cellular companies. AT&T is one of them.

I will visit AT&T store and take a look at BB Curve and learn about monthly plans. I don't use Text THAT often tho. (I average about 25 to 50 text a month while I use AIM heavily enuf to wear out keyboard.. Kidding).

I rather wait until Sprint, Tmobile, and others to have BB Curve so I can compare it's service before signing up 2 years contract (I'm on month to month basis on Tmobile (I'm using SK2) since my contract expired last year Hooraahh!!). It's not funny if signed up 2 years contract then next month, other company offer better one enuf to make ur ego go flatline. :pissed: :laugh2:

Catty

I went to AT&T and ask the Rep about BB Curve. She said it haven't arrived yet but gave me Brochures and instruction for BB Curve. Shoot! She let me play with her BB Pearl (new one w/ white tracking ball). It's neat!!. She was on phone calling AT&T customer svc to get info for deaf discount. She said they only offer $44 a month w/ unlimited Text messaging (in place of Voice). And $34 for basic data usage with limit. I told her about Tmobile and Sprint offer $29.99 for all that. She told me that she will learn more and find out about deaf discount. I forgot to tell her about TAP under AT&T. I will text her about TAP and maybe they can answer that. I had a feeling that I would go for Sprint or Tmoble once BB Curve arrives.

Catty

as i have told you before, catty, we do not have "TAP" for bb device yet. TAP is accepted to Blackback, 8525, 8125, nokia e62, and Treo devices. ATT is working on BB plan for deaf users. i have left several posts with a link to disability resources center at at&t. i guess you didnt google hard enough in AD that i had left several posts about TAP with contact lists. at this time i give you this link directly before you shoot yourself on your foot.

Hearing Aid Compatibility and wireless phones | AT&T wireless services

catty, if u want to talk with someone about TAP please use one of these contacts:

To learn more about TAP, contact AT&T at NCCDSupport@att.com or call our National Center for Customers with Disabilities at:
1-866-241-6567 (TTY)
1-866-691-7265 (alternate TTY)
1-866-241-6568 (Voice)

Both Sprint Wireless Relay Data Plan and AT&T TAP plan must be contact via thier respective dept.

The deaf plan cannot be purchased or added to the smartphones at any Sprint or AT&T Corp Stores.

But with AT&T you can purchase a phone or get a contract at the AT&T Corp store with a very cheap voice plan then fill out TAP application and fax it to thier dept then they will change your cheap voice plan to a TAP plan.

With Sprint you cannot get phone from Corp Store at all. It must be shipped to your home after you call them to order one with Wireless Relay Data Plan.

Last time I check AT&T does not offer TAP for BlackBerry yet however you need to call the phone number that deafclimber posted and see if they are starting to offer TAP for BlackBerry.

I called last March to see if TAP was avaiable for BlackBerry and AT&T said they were working on it and it will be soon so maybe they are avaiable now but you need to call that number deafclimber posted and check to see if TAP is avaiable for BlackBerry yet.

I brought my 8525 on Ebay then I went to the Cingular (AT&T now) Corp booth in the Mall and have a cheap voice plan added to it then AT&T Disabilities dept fax me a application to fill out and I added in my cheap voice plan phone number on application and fax back to them. They switch cheap voice plan to TAP deaf plan in 1 day. I brought 8525 on Ebay becasue I do not want to be stuck with a contract so I own the phone outright and switch to any other carrier like Tmoblie with no termination fees or worries any time I want to.

I like to add few picture, give you an idea of these:

I give you idea of these pictures:
img7679v440ed3.jpg

Look at between the 8700g s keyboard and the 8300 keyboard.

img7687vp440dn9.jpg

the 8700g is wider than the Curve wide!

I took these picture before I actually returned it to att store few days ago I better wait for the offical tmo curve hit on tmobile USA soon!

Thanks for the INfo!!!! I'll wait for the 8320 or the 8300 lol.. with the wifi and gps ...
Chick, welcome, it is up to your own decision, but I am laughing at the rumors said "8320 with wifi will come to tmobile". what a joke? there never will release 8320 on tmobile since 8100 and 8800 were released on att, O2, T-Mobile on and on. Now 8300 released on O2, at&t, rogers, tmobile already. Not 8320 because there never mentoned 8320 at all.. Now look T-Mobile HEADQUARTER from germany on the place of the world,

Handy BlackBerry Curve mit Vertrag und ohne Vertrag bei T-Mobile

NOW they selling it is 8300!!!, not 8320 period.

Like in Canada, Roger recent released CURVE and selling now, site: Rogers.com - BlackBerry® Curve™

all carriers are same 8300!

Catty, welcome, me too, I dislike at&t data plan. what if T-mobile never be on earth, I would choice at&t service. :)

You know what?, In Germany where T-Mobile headquarter, they selling THE OFFICAL T-MOBILE CURVE on sale now! I can't wait T-mobile curve will hit on T-Mo USA here soon like 3 to 4 weeks!

Video? thats would be nice! I predict, next 8300 series will have video and camera in next year or two years. I bet!

Ditto!! it's the body of Curve look slimmer and thinner than 8700 but the display look the same size. Whew!! LOL. Thanks for displaying! We appreciate to know what it'll be so we don't want to end up feeling uuggh if we saw actual BB. Some seem bigger in picture until you actually see it. Oh no that's so tiny!! LOL. Glad that Curve isn't small anyway. It's just the display counts!!

Deaf Climber, What att plan I dislike for bb?

at&t data plan offer customers, as below:

attdataplanshz8.png

29.99 for email address only that what I dislike.. T-mobile offered me, 29.99 for full Data packages like email , internet browers, instant messgings on and on... you correct me if I am wrong? so can you explain of this if you do care?

Catty, Did You know that you can using PAM, thru select the BlackBerry® Tethered. Can you afford Tethered data plan?
