Remember about Sept 11, 2001



Very sad to read posts here...


I remember around 5.00 pm, I received the fax from my hubby at work telling me to watch TV news straight way about WTC - horrible one... I did what my hubby said... I was appalled when I saw the horrible news on TV... and keep on stare on TV for long hours... and switched other TV programmes but almost all TV programmes is for WTC.... movies ans series are cancelled...

Next day, on my way to work..... I supposed to arrive at work by 7.30 am but a very long queres to Army caserne... They inspected us and our car... It took me arrive at office by around 11.00 am.

We still watch WTC few days before 11th September ... We saw a long 2 hours true movie about United States 93 plane (4th crashed plane). Americans, French and British work together to make film about US 93 airline... Yes, it´s terrorists including piliot were in 4th plane... Very sad... After that, then one hour document where orginal people including widows interviewed what they know from phone calls, etc.
 
i remmy on that day....

i woke up with the beauiful sky day as it morning.. i check on my grandma.. she tried tell me something on tv.. i was like wtf i was thought she seem out of her mind something.. i guess she old.. i remmy she was pointing at her tv in her room when i check on her.. so i went to the living room bec there is a bigger tv which i enjoy the most hehe! anyway when i turn on tv.. then saw the wtc thing.. i was like oh hehe that movie new one.. whoa early morning! wtf whatever on those media doing.. then saw the fireball blew up i was like what is that .. on wtc.. no way and puzzled until they change the another side to show.. it was plane to hit wtc.. i was like oh that movie.. then i figure out .. somehow i saw little word at the corner of tv screen it says LIVE.. then i was like whatttttttttttt then oh fuck! i wanna touch wtc! grr then shock.. and stay on tv and lay down all day and night .. even throught i did check on my email sometime on computer..

wow! what a shock! gee crazy guts to die for themselve! rme! but on tv that worst to do show!

i was thought it someone did .. like okla city bombing.. but turn out it was from bin laden! grrr!
 
I was home with Dad on that day. I had just gotten up and the TV was on. Dad was working on remodeling our bathroom. I remember saying to him. "Hey, Dad ...Some asshole just plowed into the World Trade Center". I didn't realize we were under attack. I thought it was some jerk-off who didn't know how to fly a plane correctly, and they crashed into the WTC. A few moments later, I witnessed the second plane crashing into the WTC. At that point, I yelled for Dad to come to the TV. We watched the coverage for a moments, and then, Dad took out of the house like a shot! He was going to the bank to withdraw some money.

The rest of the day is a blur. It was all so surreal.
 
Let us never forget, never surrender. Let that be the message to terrorists everywhere. Let us go about our normal, daily activities and be not afraid.
 
I can't express my thoughts and feeling today, It so sad that day. Bin will be brought to justice.

i woke up, my mom told me come with her to bedroom, i was alike huh? i say ok i went to her room, we watch this, i was SHOCK! gee! i was suppose plan go tenn but cancel cuz of this.. i rather wait few days til it was safe then i can go there.. wow.. it was awful see people fell off from building.. it made me cry see like that.. sigh.. but i wont forget abt today.. hugs hugs..
 
We remember those who lost their families in Twin World Trade Center Towers.

No need to watch film. I've seen plenty enough back in 2001. Beside.... it's right in front of my home and I've been to the site when it was still burning and reeked of dead bodies. Lost a friend for WTC war. I know a friend who lost several colleagues and friends inside WTC. My dad was in city close to WTC during both incidents.

I think it's time for media/government to stop replaying WTC clips because it's been 7 years and we need to heal and move on. Replaying WTC clips/movies isn't conducive to anybody's healing and it just furthers fears and hates.

yep,...i am not use too often watching "WWII" It is enough, what i am aware about "WWII"? that is why, I don't need watch "Adolf Hitler" again, the same with Sept 11th.

Liebling, yes i have been watching "United States 93 plane". i can't say, it is true story or not. sorry, i don't know.. everyone proves another story. how can i believe it? But i love the movie "WTC" Nicolas Cage act. :)

It written true story on TV but I cannot say that all is true. :dunno2: There´re TV document about US 93 plane after 2 hours movie..., there´re original people including widows and telephonists who withnessed thru phone calls band... They save it and record for us to hear but I cannot hear what the voice talk... just subtitles what it says.

Oh yes I heard about "WTC" Nicolas Cage act but I haven´t see it... I will get DVD thru ebay some day to watch.

sure, i understand, what you mean :) ... But it still have problem about Pentagon. It was plane or rocket, which was hit on Pentagon? my some friends know, it was rocket, no plane. that is problem, when i was with my friends in NYC last month. we were stand near at WTC Center, so there have an information about Pentagon. It was Plane *sigh*
I better shut up. It was enough too big argument about WTC. I am not involved by WTC and Pentagon.

Yes I aware about 3rd plane hit Pentagon (it´s not US 93 plane). We debated about 1st, 2nd and 3rd planes to WTC and Pentagon at WTC threads for years but no word about 4th plane (US 93 plane).... We all know what it doing at 1st, 2nd and 3rd planes but I cannot say anything here because it would end to heat debate... like what we did at WTC threads...
 
Few month later after 9-11, I was very shocking to watch real story on French film on CBS-TV that a real life documentary following the events of September 11 from an insider's view, through the lens of two French filmmakers who were in Manhattan that one day.

Filmmakers Jules and Gedeon Naudet were filming a documentary on a rookie New York City firefighter when they noticed a plane overhead. That plane would hit the World Trade Center. The firefighter and the Naudets rushed immediately to the scene. The Naudets filmed throughout Sept. 11 and the days afterward from the firemen's perspective, as it became clear to them that this was the only known footage from inside the Twin Towers that day.

That's nice to have a thread for 9/11 memories. I was so disappoint.

In 9/11/01, When I was almost 20. I was in bed. My mom came to my apt to wake me up. She told me it's bad news. I said what is it? She said World Trade Center got hit by planes in NYC. I got shock. She said it from terrorism group. I was alike ohh no! I went to work in daytime. I grabbed a newspaper and watch tv. I got shock. I was tearing.

I can't believe it's 4 airplanes got hit by terrorist. All International Airports and Disney World closed for day.

I remember in Dec 2001 or Jan 2002. The Al Qaeda planned to hit SF Golden Gate Bridge, Chicago's Sears Towers, New Orleans, La and other. But they failed because the security arrested them. We are so lucky! It's scare me!

I'd woken up today and walked down the street . . . saw flags at half-staff and wondered why the previous day's news didn't mention a death. On the newspaper, on the front page, there's 9-11 pictures. Oh . . . I'm reminded.

I'd watched the first three hours of programming on national television on 11 September 2001 then went on to do work. That night, I'd gone on a date and my date's choice was a Jerusalem Palestinian-owned restaurant.

Must I re-live that day again and again? It impacted us all . . . after the 5th anniversary, it seemed to be relegated to the past. There will come the 10th, 15th, and the 20th. In between, I want to find reasons for living because, afterall, memorials are for the living.
