Yup. I just put up a general info about the union. I personally think that almost all union presidents are doing the same thing - like 70 percent. I can't confirm that, but it is just my opinion. You said that it's different situation then I believe you.

ha ha. These foods don't harm you. Foxrac just don't like the meatless. That's his choice. I respect him for that. In fact, some AD users eat meatless foods, and I am really surprised about that. I am impressed. Some people don't like it because they did not add something on it due it is too plain and boring. Add something like sauce with flavors on it. I made a mistake when I cooked with a meatless patte without a flavor so I learned my lesson. I improved my cookings I love the meatless patties & some burgers, wild fishes, and scrambled eggs.

By the way, I found out that farm fishes at stores contain coloring dyes. They said that wild fishes are the better because they do not add dye. Whew!

Coloring dyes on any foods are "harmful." You will see the label that says colors such red, yellow, etc. on the ingredients. That's what they said on TV, "The Doctors." The Doctors website Hope that helps.

I don't mind if you don't like it. That's your choice. You don't like it then don't eat it. No problem. I'm not here to force anyone to change their mind. A long time ago, I loved my real chicken pie and pepperoni on pizza crazily, and I made my own decision not to eat a meat period for 20 years. Wow, 20 years I feel proud myself. That's all.

do you know difference between homocysteine and C-RP levels? I had the C-RP tested and inflammation very low <eat mostly vegan> but didn't have the other tested. <had bloods workup and "female" exam stuff because husband laid off and group insurance run out at end of month>

When the C-reactive protein is found in the blood it is because the liver and fat cells (adipocytes) are producing it. This happens in response to inflammation. This is typically seen in patients with acute inflammation. The c-reactive protein its self does not cause inflammation though. The c-reactive protein is just an indicator of acute inflammation. It is a marker and nothing else.

Homocysteine levels now, they are not an indicator of inflammation. High homocysteine levels are an indicator of atherosclerosis. High homocysteine levels can cause damage to those arteries resulting in atherosclerosis. That is seen in patients with higher consumptions of meat. It is also seen in patients with low levels of folic acid, vitamin B12, and vitamin B6. Lower levels of those vitamins hamper the natural breakdown of homocysteine.

Since you are a vegan and vegans typically have lower levels of the b-vitamins I would have your doctor also look at your homocysteine levels.

I've lost weight by eating meatless, I love morning stars, boca all kinds of meatless, they're really good and I don't have to worry about cancer or heart problems, high cholesterol.

I remember James Garner from Rockford files TV show, he claimed that he had ate too much red meats and had a heart attack, so he quit eating red meats after all and Dr G had quit eating red meat and she lost alots of weight, I'm proud of her.

I do noticed that people like their red meat rare and pink, well that causes air-borned, illness and bacteria, it's best to cook red meats well done to prevented health problems later on.

Same goes for raw seafoods, causes parasite, thats not good either, I would have seafoods cooked.

Everybody can make their own choices!:D

Everything comes down to calories when dieting not necessarily whether one eats meat or not. I am glad you were able to lose some weight though, that is awesome :)
