For you, maybe. Not for her.

Okay...vr won't let me go ivy league school but I am really enough to study at ivy league school like went to cornell before. I would find someone first at sight but no matter if I was deaf.

Why it bother if I am deaf but would have struggle...no need CI but some of them can success but what if not wore CI or speak...

I could go with the really nasty, ill statement or I could choose a qoute to which I think you'll be able to understand. Which do you want?

Matajanahaun... I'm going to explain with my personal experience and choice. You keep on insisting going to Ivy League. You know I mentoned earlier about me being high IQ and such. I could easily accepted going to MIT which I would love to go, but the more I think about it I will feel isolated going there. What I mean by "isolated"? I'm deaf. MIT is full of hearing people and I will be alone there. Then I learned about RIT where they have NTID there. I would feel more comfortable to go there and have full of social life with deaf people. You know regardless what they have, low IQ, high IQ, stupidy or whatever but it's the communication is what I enjoyed the most. Communication among other deaf people will help me get going. Is the best enrichment for me to attend. Then later I became faculty of both RIT and NTID and got an Falculty Award in 1985. It's an rewarding experience for me. It's no match for me to attend MIT. So, think about it... If you attend Ivy league... you will join no man island...

Basically, you're contradicting your values without realizing it. You don't know who you are and that's why you're having a tough time attracting the woman of your parents dreams or whatever.

It is, this is why I mentoned in earlier post that he need to think hard.. not to think about his parents expectation. Parents expectation from children is a faulty goal.

Precisely.

Matajan seek professional help. Not from here. In reality where your progress can be tracked with realistic, attainable goals. Do you need this written in another way?

How can you isolated?

I went to prep school, I don't feel isolated if I don't speak...

But I knew one who had two CI and speak...went to haverford and stanford, had hearing bf don't sign.

Why is necessary to speak, isn't help to make friends?

I had talked to hearing friends all the time at cornell but I don't feel isolated.

Came to ivy league school to get education for future career.

Socializing is not helpful.

Not surprising ppl can talk then can helpful but not always...

Like craig hits on uc davis babes, seems fine...

If deaf came to gallaudet, they will hard to find right group when socializing...

I am not kidding...

That what happened to one guy cause trouble at gallaudet cuz he has no friends, feel isolated from socializing few month ago.

I realized what it really like at gallaudet.

U came to look for social with people at gallaudet, it is not helpful.

You know who are you, based on qualified and will find somebody but rare to find right deaf girl at gallaudet.

That why I was disappointed, had seen with one guy cause trouble at gallaudet. Not only happen in past.

Tell me what makes you feel isolated?

It is your attitude and behavior that is making you feel isolated. Not others. It's nothing to do with being at Gallaudet.

I have a cousin who have Asperger Sydrome and he's genius, he's only 20. From my personal experience, there's nothing you can do about it...of getting professional help. He just keep on non stop chatting... and his obsessive behavior is reading by book, by iTouch or magazine. That is the way he is.
