That's just it. Obama's kids know all the dangers from smoking. Even if they don't express it, they probably worry that dad won't be there for them because he'll die young form lung cancer or some other smoking-related disease. I'm sure it would be a great relief to them to know he quit smoking for good.

I just wanted to "clear the air" about the thread origination. :) By the time we get to soooo many pages, sometimes we forget the original post.

oh I didn't forget. Here's a difference - you posted an update to a previous White House statement about Obama quitting smoking and expressed some concerns... whereas.... Kokonut is going rampage on this issue.

gets pretty annoying when one keeps being very "religious" about it. same message - many different words but progressively harsher and illogical.

Parents that smoke around their love ones , should be ashame of themselves. Secondhand smoke does affect people around them . I know. I grew up with smokers and could smell them smoking from the living room to my bedroom EVERY NIGHT...

Reba, I'm sorry about mess your thread up but I have post few more over again because kokonut don't get my humor of sense.
 
If it is an issue of his doctors caring that he smokes, then that is an issue that belongs between him and his doctors. He is entitled to privacy in his medical care the same as any citizen.
 
I defend the right to free speech. Ridicule is a very effective way to deal with the wack jobs that spew crazy theories and hate.
