Prayers for Deaf friend

Sorry to report no updates. Have not been able to visit with my friend. I know he would thank you all for the prayers though. From rumors it does appear to be a family type thing.

Update....the baby is safe and being examined by Alameda County health. It appears to be some kind of family squabble after all. Details are all over the place though so I won't post those until we know for sure.

Isn't the point of an Amber Alert to get the information out quickly? I hope they do it soon. They will find the baby, and he will be okay. This person sounds like they are clearly emotionally disturbed, but not the type that would harm the baby. It sounds like maybe she had been wanting a child and couldn't for whatever reason. This was her "opportunity." The baby will be found, safe and sound. I just hope the parents don't have to wait much longer.

I usually post answers like this myself. In fact I have gotten a negative response a few times when I did. But my answer was always "there are to sides to every story and we are only hearing one" This situation is a prime example of why I answer that way

Here is the update.

The baby is ok, he was never in any danger. My friend was taken to the airport by his ex to fly to LA for a meeting. When the ex returned she found the baby, babysitter and babys stuff gone. The ex caught my friend by text before he took off and went to pick him up. When he arrived home he was arrested for spousal abuse. Which explains why we never heard from him again. Turns out the babysitter who originally looked like a criminal actually helped the wife move out quickly and safely. I find it extremely hard to believe this man ever abused anyone but I checked the website and they are holding him with pretty high bail. I am pretty disgusted but will withhold judgement until he has his day in court.

The baby is ok and right now that is all that really matters.
 
TXGolfer, next time go DNO to socialize with deaf people to forget the world drama. :D Deaf Night Out occurred tonight from 530pm to midnight.
 
I'm glad the baby is safe, and the wife too. I hope your friend sees the error in his ways.
