We just filled up with regular @ 3.65.

Last week, it was $3.43 and now it is $3.71....not over $4.00 as a feared.

No sign of gas prices rising around here, yet.

The petrol prices here seems stable still... it has stayed around $3.67 per gallon. Still, it is much cheaper than when we filled up our rental car in Spain last month at tune of €1.20 per litre. This works out to about $6.63 per gallon in Spain. So I can't complain about the petrol prices in the States!

€1.20 per litre in Spain is a good price... Here in Germany €1.58 ($2.24) per liter.

My husband filled up last Friday it was 3.95. Next day on 13rd. it's bad luck number! The gas went up to 4.15 here. :rl:

Calvin's post with picture of gas in America. I saw my state with region country is RED affect! Damn it! I can't understand why Michigan to Alabama are high on gas than other states? It's not fair!

Even more reasons for me not to complain about the gas prices in the US, the German prices ($8.73 per gallon) makes our prices seem cheap enough!

I have no idea where is the pipeline coming from in my area. :dunno2: I live in Northern Indiana not Texas.

It called deliveries the oil to your area, most of southeast and many parts of midwest are get oil from Texas-Louisiana.

It's much cheaper if you live in Texas.

Updated gas map, it's more red now, especially in from Michigan to Alabama.

I don't understand why it's so high gas in my state because no hurricane there. In Texas and Louisiana suppose be high on gas price because of hurricane hit.

I don't mind to live in Texas, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico and other states.

I remember the last time in Louisiana's Katrina Hurricane. In Florida, Georgia and other states get HIGH on price than here. Now Ike, Gustav hurricane increased on gas here. :pissed:

Vampy - I filled the tank up today at $1.48 a litre - Costs me around $40 for the whole tank.

It has with distance of oil deliveries, gas price would be more expensive when distance is more farther from Texas, when hurricane is on path to Texas and Louisiana then gas price would going skyrocket due shutdown of oil refineries and delay of production on gas, that affected to any states that deliveries the oil from Texas. Texas has been known for cheaper gas price due short distance of deliveries.

It has nothing with no hurricane in your state, it has with deliveries of oil.

Gas price is start falling about few cents off now, happened in my area now.

I know that increase of chance on hurricanes are cause by global warming due change in ocean's temperature, when carbon (CO2) is increase as global warming is getting more worse as sea level is slowly rising. Humans are being mostly blamed for global warming because they use coal for electricity, natural gas for heat gas, use gas for transportation, coal is very dirty and known as biggest produce of more CO2, no way for some people could stop to use coal and replace into powered by nuclear plant, nuclear plant has no emission, fully green and cheaper as coal. I had seen more hurricanes in after 2000's than in any decade ago.

That's reason because I'm against on drilling in offshore or AK because it wouldn't give more cheaper gas, take about more years to find the oil and much limited that compared to Canada, Saudi Arabia and several countries that favor into big oil businesses, it would last for few years if largely replaced from import oil. I'm favor into renewable energy, alternative fuel and tighten on emission regulation like increase mpg in vehicles, many developed countries like UK has strict emission regulation that make increase more mpg in all vehicles. USA does have standard emission regulation for most cars but SUV, truck and sport cars have poor emission regulation.

Demand of oil has went shot and unable to meet supply at cheaper price, India and China are using more oil as USA does since China and India don't have emission regulation that result in poor mpg for all vehicles, that's big blamed for skyrocket of oil price. That's not my opinion, I know it's fact based on research of effect on anything.
