Post Office to temporarily increase stamp prices

That's necessary to pay CrazyPaul's salary, plus his benefits. :lol:
 
Temporary? I don't believe them! They can say temporary right now and when two years up, they would say well lets leave as is, but kick another increase anyway.

Blame on Crazypaul for sure!

Whats more? How dumb this decision is? Plenty of people got forever stamps in their stash, how could 2 years temporary increase going to help? Bet your ass, people will rush buying forever stamps and not buying another stamp for two years... pointless!
 
I barely use stamps anymore now that I pay virtually all my bills online. A book of stamps will last me a year.

Two of my bills are payable on-line, but the others still require a check to be sent to them.
 
Don't your bank offer online payment? I can send out check to anyone but I don't have checkbook. My bank does it for me... For free. Heck beats USPS postal cost!

Sounds like you are a Chase customer? Because that's what I use to pay my bills, and it not only saves me time, but I can set up the payments in advance so I don't have to deal with last-minute stress.

Or just stop mailing stuff.
 
I can't remember the last time I mailed something with a stamp.... I email everything really, and if I ship I usually use UPS. :P

I use USPS to shipping stuffs because they are cheaper and faster than UPS and Fedex, due to improved priority shipping.
 
I still mail cards (birthday, get well, sympathy, Christmas, etc.) to people, and send checks to several charities.

I don't mail much anymore, but now I think of it, I should probably get back to doing that next year. Time to buy some stamps next week, and more mailing equipment.
 
Is the stamp price hike going to be "temporary" the same way that the Federal income tax was supposed to be temporary?

If you don't mail much then why buy ummm mailing equipment??? If you mail a letter just stick a stamp on it and its done no equipment needed.

I was speaking of printing ink for my printer and stamps. Plus more evenlopes for mailing.
