Okay we are back to our hometown - St Louis. DreamDeaf would come to AllDeaf to post some more about AD Caucus in Ohio. Thank you for your patience and we do enjoyed the weekend at MSD (Missouri School for the Deaf) Homecoming weekend.

To all - please understand that I am not online during the weekends - it is my break off from computer usage as I am online approximately 10 hours a day, five days a week with three computers going bonkers on me constantly. If I do not get online when you feel I should, do please understand my situation. While I do love AllDeaf, and am looking forward to the 2008 AllDeaf Caucus and future Caucuses, I do really, really need a break from computers on weekends.

Bear, I know you have offered to help - I had planned to ask you to help when I was ready. I have a hotel that is willing to accomodate us, and I have to wait until January 2007 as they are going through renovations. When the time comes, I will be back in touch with the hotel and have you go there and check it over for me.

Until then, please do some feedback here - I am planning on a 3-day Caucus this time - which means Thursday, Friday and Saturday, as we do expect some guests from out of the country and we want to make them feel welcome and have a great tour of our country.

I am already in touch with Cedar Point and working on an AllDeaf Forum Day, on a Friday - as it is, the Caucus may have to be planned around the day Cedar Point is able to accomodate us.

Any ideas for Thursday and Saturday? Please understand that Saturday night is already reserved for the Caucus banquet.

Thursday...probably just relax and meet new faces, have dinner somewhere. Also grab zzzz from jet leg. :)

Saturday...Cleveland? Go sight seeing? I don't know.

You did a great job no matter what DD! I do understand you wanted a break from the computer on weekend, which that's no sweat. :)

ok DD thanks for letting me know exactly what you need. Let me ask for those other day would you like me to post links of all the gazillion other things my area has to do? And maybe Angel and Cheri can do some Cleveland links?

as much as an amusement park excites me too, but i am thinking, the ad caucus is a time for meeting and socializing, if go to cp will we socialize or just go to different rides all day.

Eh? There's no signing up, I think DreamDeaf is gotta do it alit bit different this time, since some did not even show up or pay up as promise, when we had the one held in St. Louis. :)

I really don't want to hear members saying, "I'm coming", when it's not really for guarantee.
 
I have been in contact with the hotels on and off, to let them know that we are still interested - I will email them tomorrow to find out the status of their renovations.

If all goes well in January, I will probably have RR meet Bear in Sandusky to check out the hotels and let me know which will better meet our needs.

I will probably go ahead with a group rate admission for the Caucus attendees and Cedar Point will be an all-day event. The rest of the weekend will be spent on various functions.

Just letting you know that I haven't forgotten about 2008 at all!

I would love to go to the next caucus but I live far away from US so I :dunno:
