This is ONLY a poll, there's no remarks or discussions/opinions needed to be elaborated in this thread as this is being discussed in another thread....

In The Pledge of Allegiance, should the words, 'Under God' be removed or keep as it is?

stay... keep the history last long!

Nobody's asking to remove the pledge, just the two words that never belonged there in the first place.

Use the one they recognized in 1942, not the "altered version" that was made in 1954.

Voted to stay -- Many years the language change to make sense in today. I read of beginning of verse and it seems strange then they remake and write in better language.... it was interesting to compare them.

I got it... Thanks.. Banjo, if you were living in USA so what do you think of this?

I'll prefer the original version, not the 1954 version. :)

 Damn, I didn't know that the pledge modified in year 1954. :o I gotta go back to school.

Have to remove "Under God". Not fair for students who have atheist parents or any religions that not use "God" like Buddha, Hindu, etc...

Same with people with various religions, vote for any political candiates, too.

Actually, I think it would be more fair just to make the pledge OPTIONAL. If the kid has parents who doesn't want their child praying, they can simply talk to the school and have them leave that child out. That way, if they do the pledge... that child can remain silent.

Wonderful idea but i doubt it will work cuz the parents may NOT want their children to hear the pledge even if they remain silent..they could be afraid that they will learn the words and change their minds after the parents brainwashed them...ever thought about that?
The solution to this is: take them out of the classroom while the others say the pledge then when it is over, take them back in classroom, that way they wont have to hear it.
