The manhunt for the quadruple murder suspect believed to have killed a Washington executive, his family and a housekeeper before torching their mansion and escaping with $40,000 in cash is now focused in Brooklyn, police said Thursday. . .

Washington police issued a warrant for Wint's arrest late Wednesday after DNA from pizza crust left at the scene turned up the match….

arrest warrant issued for killer

This is an awful crime. Authorities think that the little boy was tortured. :(

Police are on the killer's trail. I hope they catch him soon.

Harsh fate.....
Rip..
This guys minutes are numbered...

Heard this is not far from where VP Joe Biden lives. Hope this suspect get caught and have justice for the victims.

It's not far from where my friend lives either. DC isn't a huge town (something like 63 square miles compared with NYC's nearly 500) and where these people live is clustered really close. So people are saying that these important government workers live so close to this dangerous thing happening as if they were ever at risk and they simply aren't.

I'm not sure about the title. Pizza Crust saw the killer... Hmm...

How do people become such evil monsters ??? It was a good thing the monster was not very smart and left behind his DNA on the pizza crust.

This is such a horrific crime . :(

His former lawyer is so full of baloney!

Ex-lawyer calls Wint 'kind, gentle, nonaggressive'

An attorney who represented Wint in six earlier cases -- none of which, he says, ended in guilty verdicts -- said he believes authorities have "the wrong guy."

Even if his DNA was found on pizza crust, it doesn't mean Wint went inside the Savopoulos mansion, much less bound and killed anyone, attorney Robin Ficker told CNN's "New Day" on Friday.

A video released by Washington police of a man outside the mansion didn't show any identifying facial features, the attorney added.

"I know him to be a kind, gentle, nonaggressive person; (he is) someone you wouldn't mind your grandmother going to lunch with," the Maryland lawyer said. "... It's a rush to judgment. There's a presumption of innocence, which is not being mentioned by police."

According to court records, Wint has faced multiple charges over the years, including theft, assault and a sexual offense. He was cleared of some of them, but he has three assault convictions in New York.

He attended Marine Corps recruit training in 2001 but left before completing the camp. It was not clear why.

Does the lawyer expect us to believe that this "sweet" guy with a sour record simply shared a friendly pizza meal with the victims in their home while some other perp did the crime?

Really?

Yes, he's innocent in the eyes of the law until proven guilty but that doesn't require us to turn off our brains in the meantime.

Yeah, we don't have to believe his former attorney who will be embarrassed big time sooner or later.

One thing amazed me. Wint's DNA was found on a pizza crust and then the police found that he was an ex-employee of the company in which one of the victims was a CEO. That makes a lot of sense. We got the right guy, however the prosecutors believe that he didn't act alone.

Still attorney has point, having pizza crust with DNA can be eaten outside of house and being planted by murderer that we might not know yet. Is it possible? You can bet on it. What it means is that Wint may have ate that pizza in New York home, and somebody took it and bring to that house to frame Wint.

Only one DNA found? Its still not enough to convince Jurors. If DNA were found on toilet seat, or other tangible properties then yeah its much stronger DNA evidence.

I would wait until fat lady start singing.

There could be a lot more evidences that been found, polices do not release all the info they have while an investigating is still going on.
The evidence about the DNA may had been release hoping the suspect(s) would turn themselves in.

Please read the last sentence in my previous post.

Really?

The pizza was ordered from the DC home, and delivered by a DC local Domino's; they didn't deliver the pizza to Wint's NY home. The timeline doesn't fit any other scenario.

Also, it doesn't make sense that someone would go to the trouble of getting DNA evidence to plant and then try to destroy it in the house fire.

One DNA sample might not be enough for conviction but it's part of the preponderance of evidence that points the way.

Yes, I'm sure there's more to come.

I know the facts, they are pretty much loose facts. Nothing etched on the stone yet. That's why I said best wait til fat lady sings then we will know more. I have known some crooks going length to avoid getting caught, sometimes they look for whats called "The fall guy" in order to avoid getting caught.

It does not necessarily means that whoever brings pizza crust up to NY, other way is possible by maybe picking up the sucker's sativa and plant it on pizza crust at crime scene to make it look like real one, so is it possible? I have to say anything is possible.

Lastly, who wants to get caught and go to jail?

Yeah when police give an update on a murder investigation reporters will ask question that the police will not answer b/c it could harm their case . So the police could have a lot more evidence than been reported .

If Wint's defendant lawyer says it like that, s/he must prove it so how would this lawyer do that? :hmm:

Lastly, a lot of criminals don't think of consequences like DNA on a pizza crust. Mostly they make mistakes which lead to their arrests. Nothing new.

wow how they know where $40,000 cash in mansion? maybe everybody live near victim's home do the same thing. like classic. Hide the money behind picture. smh
