It's not popular. I asked my kids who are over 18 if they have heard about Duck Dynasty and they asked what that is. Neither have I heard about it before.

Eventually it will be less watched like another show, "Keeping up with the Kardashians ". Who wants to watch what they are doing in their life in the front of a camera? I know who. Idiots!

I think you will realize it is popular if you come to Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia (say wave to Stein), South Carolina (say wave to Reba and TCS) and Florida (say wave to your best friend - RR).

Redneck, redneck, redneck.

What? Rednecks have TV?

Yes, they have TV...

Alabama is haven place for rednecks.
I was kidding about them having TV. Once they watch it every week, they will eventually get bored with it just like the kids (including my daughter) getting bored with "Keeping Up with the Kardashians". Reality TV shows don't last long.

Why 'Duck Dynasty' rules reality TV

The reality series that follows the bearded Robertson clan and their Monroe, La., outdoor sporting-goods business grew 95% in viewers last season, averaging 8.4 million viewers.

If they weren't popular, there wouldn't be a 4th season to be made. ;) Plus they make big money producing the show along with their making duck calls in their company "Duck Commander"

Of course one of the days the show will end just like every other shows. People change casts such as Law and Order which still runs today after many many seasons.

The thing is no one made you watch it, there is other channels you can watch.

Speaking of salary....

Duck calls, the product that made them millionaires, is still the Robertson family's true moneymaker. Last year, they sold 60,000 of their Duck Commander callers. This year, they are projected to sell over 750,000, and at an average price of $59.72 (they range from $19.95 to $179.95), they are set to make—wait for it—$44,790,000 on their duck calls in 2013!

With their recent pay raise, the 20-person cast will be making over $200,000 per episode! At seven episodes a season, that means they'll rake in a whopping $1.4 million for season four!

Willie Robertson's book, The Duck Commander Family, has sold over 1 million copies on Amazon. At a price of around $12, that's $12 million in sales. Phil Robertson also has a book, titled Happy, Happy, Happy: My Life and Legacy as the Duck Commander, that also retails for $12 on Amazon.

Inside Duck Dynasty's Multimillion-Dollar Fortune: Duck Calls, T-Shirts, a Cruise and $1.4 Million Per Season

They can very well afford luxury homes, autos, and travel the world.

My favorite DD casts are Si Robertson and Willie Robertson.

I see the market potential of Lego action figures in every Mickey D's happy meal.

There is another news which Phil Robertson on MSN saying that teenage girls should married men before 20 years old. It is the same thing with other western countries that want to marry young girls especially as younger than teenagers. I would prefer to have the girls to be 20 years old or older as long as they can choose the mates. Just went shocked when the news said what Phil is saying on his show.

I would like very much for him to get out of that show. I hope it went downhill. Dang!!!

Is was common practice in British America and Great Britain?

I'm extremely detest child raptists and pedophiles.

I don't like teenager marriage so I think it is much worse than adult polygamy marriage. :ugh:

If Mcdonalds were to have a Duck Dynasty themed happy meal, shouldn't they call the happy, happy, happy meals?

My daughter was 19 when she married my very wonderful son-in-law, and they are still happily married. I don't see what that has to do with child rapists and pedophiles, and it definitely isn't worse than adult polygamy.

Some people are mature and ready for marriage sooner than others. Some people don't meet the right person until they're much older. Each couple is a different situation, and a different relationship.

At ages 18 and 19 those are teens, yes, but they are legal adults. Younger than 18 they aren't adults. I wouldn't promote child marriages.

redneck meal.
I have Roadkill Sausage on backorder from Bass Pro Shop. I was hoping to get it before Christmas but apparently it's been too popular this year. :giggle:

It was video from 2009, he recommends that men should marry girls when they're 15 or 16, and something about them plucking their ducks. He also advises that men should check that these 15/16 year old girls can cook a meal, try to eat something she made before you marry her, and make sure she carries a bible around with her.

Blech

I'd post a link but I'm on my phone, besides you all have access to google, all kind of links fir it and a video on YouTube apparently, I haven't watched it, it may or may not have CC. I'm not going to look though, I just don't care that much :)

Oh but he does recommend that they check with her parents first......so I guess there's that.

Wow ... imagine that. Another person who thinks its a waste of time posting in this thread. :giggle:

(Oh, and just so you know .... about 5 years ago, Phil Robertson preached a sermon about <insert hateful diatribe here that completely twists what Phil Robertson said>)
