Yes,
the previous drama that happened on Thursday after lunch was that 5 people were arrested while on the line!
They took two P.C. servicemen, 1 shoulder cutter from line 3, one white meat feeder from line 2, and another shoulder cutter from line 10.
One of them was working directly across from me when the line boss came out and told him to turn in his supplies and go directly to the front office, he never came back.
Out of the five that were arrested, only the shoulder cutter from line 3 came back as I had heard he paid his bail and fine in full.
The others I believe were terminated as they could not make bail by the next morning.
The complex manager was not happy at all. From here on out, I believe the new policy is that if you are arrested on the job, it is automatic termination on the spot. I have to agree with it though. The company should have to deal with your mess when you decide to skip court and then later get arrested as they have to find other people to replace you on the line.
But - wow, five arrests in one day at the workplace? That doesnt happen every day!
