I'm not--just answering Reba's question about colored chimpanzees.

Afterall--this thread has already....." gone to the monkeys"--so to speak. :lol:

no. Pinkie was the only known albino chimp in the world
At first sight, we couldn't believe our eyes. She was a chimp, but with white hair, one blue and one brown eye. After inquiring the experts, it turned out that Pinkie was the only known albino chimpanzee in the world. When she first arrived at Tacugama late in 1999, she was only weeks old and needed to be cared for at Bala's (the project director of Tacugama) home.

Guess it's just one so far. I'm sure there has been some prior to this one.

Anyway:

The eastern common chimpanzee has longer hair than the other two subspecies and has bronze or coppery facial skin color. The central common chimpanzee has a black pigmentation to the face. The western common chimpanzee has facial skin that is pink in color, but it darkens with age. The pelage color is black but may range from brown to ginger (Estes, 1991). The common chimpanzee has large molars and males possess large canines. The digits are narrow and curved in this species

I didn't know HA was blind also.

So you are blind but yet deaf, or did you have implant to hear again??

Either way I figured no one was posting the picture cause of some rule or something.

It reminds me of a cat I used to have with long white fur, pink ears and nose, one blue eye, one gold eye. The vet showed us that the cat had "port" and "starboard" eyes, like the running lights on a boat, when he shined a flashlight at her eyes in a darkened room. That is, the two different color eyes also reflected two different colors.

I don't understand.
Why are we going over the colors of apes? In a black and white comic of all?

If a primate was really white, then it'd be noticeable to point out in any comic.
If it was black, we just assume its "a primate" and move on.

To me, chimps have always been the same "color" or so to speak, dark brownish or black, no difference. Especially not in comics.
All non-albino monkeys in comics have always been drawn black or dark brown hues to my knowledge.

Albinos are born to quite a bunch of various animal species, not just limited to monkeys and apes. Scientists do not include Albino features with the main species characteristics.

There are times I have thought that the monkey isn't even representing Barack Obama, it could have been another politician or someone else related in politics, or evidently not even a politician at all:
It could have just represented the stimulus itself - "Is going crazy like Travis" - meant to be shot down. Wonder why no one thought about this.

The common saying goes that it is not wise to jump the gun, though perhaps it probably had to do with protesters and its supporters garnering major attention for it.

We did think of it. And it was insulting to the woman attacked by Travis on this level, as well.

I'm totally deafblind, but can hear with bilateral CIs.

I use a screen reader called Window-Eyes and a Braille display called a Braille Star 40. The screen reader sends information that appears on the computer screen to the Braille display where it is read by me. It also announces the same information via synthetic speech.

As far as selecting which text I want to quote, I simply look for the "edit" and "quote" buttons, select them and then type inside the box where text appears.

As far as writing emoticons are concerned, I simply type a colon followed by the word and enclose it in colons. For example, the giggle emoticon would be typed as (colon) giggle (colon) to appear as :giggle:
