HarperCollins will print 1.5 million copies for the book’s first run, the same number that was printed for late Sen. Ted Kennedy’s memoir “True Compass.” Kennedy’s book, published earlier this month, currently stands at number six on the Amazon list.

A publishing industry source told POLITICO that they “cannot remember a non-fiction book taking off like this in the pre-order market. It became number one only a couple of hours after nothing more than a date announcement. It is truly unprecedented.”

Much of the 400-page book is based on journals Palin kept during her vice-presidential run.

Looks like she'll beat out a dead guy's own book sale even before her book hits the press.

Oh, btw, his book isn't at #6, it's now #7. Can't even crack past the #5 slot a book called, "Diary of a Wimpy Dog Days." Which is kind of funny if not sadly ironic.

I'm not interested to read. *YAWN*

Yeah, we know. Not a surpise but looking like 1.5 million people will be buying the book with more printing possible down the road after Nov 17. And then a Dec 26 electronic release for Kindle or e-book users. This is going to drive the left pretty nutty for awhile.

eh they probably bought books just to burn it

That's fine. More money for her. Though I suspect there are many liberals who are feeling guilty now for buying one just to get a scoop on her. This pre-sale record ordering is unprecedented. Strike it while the iron is still hot. She's going to make a fortune.

Ha ha ha....hey Koko Limbaugh...thank you for pointing that out.
Ever heard of 'pop culture'. Fictional books often take #1 slot in Best Seller list. Or pop culture type books such as hollywood stars writings.
Which amount to 'shallow' and arebought by shallow readers.....ha ha ha ha.......what percentage of total US population do you think are serious readers??????
I can tell you that most of the books buyers are females of the Oprah persuasion and Soap opera types.....and of the shallow readings type.....entertainment value.
come on ...how can you possibly be defending this joke of apolitician...she was chosen for 'star attraction' ability in 'looks' and in her 'rough independent' value. This was a huge mistake of a choice by McCain. The clueless winking political. The bridge to nowhere.....the comedy skit.....a quitter of her governorship.
And you are defending this pop culture item??? ha ha ha ha...what a joke. You try so hard to create something from these kind of things by spin. You really need to evaluate things before you hit click to publish.
Pure entertainment value versus a serious politicals read.
Noone will deny Kennedy has led an influential and long carreer as a sincere public servant....versus Palin's self-centered accomplishments.

Kennedy killed Mary Jo and got away with murder.

Don't forget the lotion and an old towel when you read it. :giggle:

hilarious! Of course, she'll sell fast... to people like kokonut!

You're the ones making the comments. :cool2:

but you're the one creating this thread, boasting about it, and dissing on Kennedy's book

calm down there, nellie

Have fun reading a book about someone who is killing wolves from a helicopter for personal entertainment.

I don't really care about Palin, but the fact that she regularly hunt wolves make my blood boils.

Don't forget to close the door, and bring the box of Kleenex with you!

I recall reading somewhere that she made it easier for the hunters to kill wolves and bears by passing a specific law in the state. It's illegal to kill wolves on federal lands, but not state-owned lands.

The only reason why they are killing wolves is because they want the hunters to be able to hunt caribous and elks. Alaskans are responsible for the decline in population of caribous and elks mainly due to over-hunting.

So the wolves must pay for Alaskans' mistakes. Sounds logical, doesn't it?

There ya go with using unfortunes of others to play politics.
There ya go again twisting a word top play politics.
There is a dfference between 'murder' and 'manslaughter' etc. Murder implies intent....absolutely no intent.....very young in his carreer...he spent a lifetime trying to redeem himself. and sincerely remorseful.
Was that the planned reply when you posted all this?

Kennedy killed Mary Jo and got away with murder.

She's gonna sell well because she appeals to rabid followers who will do anything for her!

Kokonut never lets facts stand in his way, cowpuppy.

I don't care if there's 1.5 milion, 7 million, even 25 million sold so it is just book, it will be big day if there's 80 million people buy her book.

Sarah Palin shouldn't run for president so she is better with state governor, IMO.

I love Alaska, don't care if Palin is state governor since it is elected by people but for US president so it is different story.

She doesn't kill wolves from helicopter. That's fiction and I for one don't believe a word of it. She's not vegan and she does believe in animal control methods that I don't agree with, but I don't know any politition who doesn't. Well their is Dennis Ketcher who is vegan, but nobody voted for him.

It really bothers me when nobody cares about factory farming and Vicisection which kills many more animals then hunting does.
Anyone who eats factory farmed meat is illogic to rave so much about Sarah Palin killing wolves. It's just plain humbug.
