Either summer or early Fall when the waters are warm. Spring is fine but no swimming.

The cabins look tempting though..

My family has that........ In Colorado. Plenty of that in South Dakota, Utah, California... Plenty.

oof... only 600? wow. usually these cabins go for 2000 or so.

but yeah, 10 people, ez to split up - 10 ways is like $200 a week, which isn't bad at all.

I think that DC would be better. In winter season, should be warmer in Florida.

Which one? Neither I nor either daughter has the money as one is raising two children and the other is working constantly and going to school.

Plus flying is one of a myriad of things that terrify me.

I don't want to ruin this thread, but Asperger's seriously handicaps me. I am sad. :(
 
I just saw CBE's post about the Deaf Expo in Chicago in November ... Maybe something could be coordinated in conjunction with that?

Either way, I'm up for any location! Admittedly, Chicago in November is COLD .. So a warmer place actually appeals more! Perhaps we can all chip in for an ultra-cool rental (like the pixs Jiro posted) in Chicago if that's what we ended up doing.

it is $2000 a week but only about $600 for weekend only and about $500 for weekday. 2 nights minimum. That's for cabin shown in pix. 10 peepz can sleep in it.

I was thinking.... fall. Yes I'm biased cuz it's my favorite season and my birth month :lol:

why? not too cold. not too hot. just perfectly pleasant. No nasty bugs to deal with. If fall is good timing for us - then perhaps in a few months. If they prefer spring, then it would be next year.

Yes. (after I get somewhere, I basically sit in a corner with my electronics, so I am not much trouble.)
