"Your deafness has created something special." This could be taken in more than one way! I was treated as 'special' growing up and not in a good way!
 
I understand now thanks to a poster here. Susanna was my cousin. She passed away and I wanted to keep her alive in my own way by using her photo. I felt hurt by the "coming back" comment, but I think you meant no harm. I wish she could still be here. I made a mistake. I'm real except for the photo, but I'm so happy I resemble her. I loved her very much.

I'm taking a break from here now. Thank you.

I'm so very sorry for the confusion. I'm a real, truthful person. I didn't know anyone would question my avatar. I will be 100% with you, so I have just snapped my photo of myself and changed my avatar to ME.

I was needing a place to "hide", to get away from my stress and problems. One of my problems is that I love my cousin and I can't be happy since she died. That's why I stopped lurking and joined here, I needed the peace I felt here.

Please forgive me.

I'm sorry to offend you. I know so many deaf were treated poorly or unfairly and still are. What I mean by created something special is that because of what you have gone through, the Deaf community seems to be more tolerant and loving and accepting of others. It's like you're willing to give people a chance.

and some Deaf/ASL users have good childhood too. I do feel for them too.
