haha i know you said 4. Just exaggerating. I doubt anyone, or any ladder would be able to handle 500 pounds of shingles and a human being.

LOL. I have fallen before too.....not fun. Never badly hurt though.

speaking of ladder fail. My 2nd cousin loaded up and was keying to climb a ladder. Only he fell from the 2nd rung and landed into the bottom rung and the ladder let go, the top part just slid right down onto his ankle and fell over, twisting it.

Yep. many many screws later hes still limping. sucks

Like a dull guillotine....that would suck

Shingles are heavy......

takes a lot of leg power to go up and down ladders loaded with shingles....and to do it all day...

Jello legs....yah!

At the end of the day....yes they are jello:lol:

Oh yeah..I know all about it....used to lay shingles down with my dad.

Roofing is hard work...lol

On the other. I will carry in.....but if we catch nothing your on your own on the way back

That's why I love the NWT...

It's not overfished... yet. So normally I can get at least a minimum of five or so catches a day.

Usually Arctic graylings or Northern pikes though-- no luck with lake trouts yet. Sometimes I would get the occasional walleyes and whitefish.

But, most of the time it feels good, doesn't it...knowing with pride you've done an honest day's work?

For sure.....I never had a bad day working....Never had a boss either that helps.

There is a spot that I go to that is a hot spot for large mouth bass, Northerns, Walleye and so on.

But I am a responsible fisherman. I follow the regulations set forth by the DNR.

Carp is a problem at our lakes, it's required that we toss them up the banks, same with bullheads. They eat the eggs of Northerns, Walleye, Pike and so on.

Without us fishermen and fisherwomen, these problem fish won't be caught and tossed to the banks.

I keep the bullheads, only in the beginning when the lakes currents start to shift and churn.

Im a nice fisherwoman...I cut my hooks and slide them through the mouths so I don't cause damage to the fish if they are not keepable, then release.

Only if it is one day...if more than one day...you groan and walk around stiff and bowl legged, griping because you know your going to have another day of hauling shingle up and down ladders.

Honestly I don't know how dad and I did it carrying shingles going up ladders and down again to get more for three days at a time.

I tell you one thing tho, I planted my behind on a bucket and fished for hours afterwards, with a nice cold beer in my hand during a beautiful sunshiny day.

I can't wait for walleye weekend!
