But that is what the thread is about

I found flip's post so more interest about secular government in Middle East so I think about compare with Iraq.

It is off-topic, anyway.

Iraq doesn't even have a nuclear plant... Iran does, but what does Iran or Saddam's nuclear powerplant have to do with Iraq's secularity?

If you're going to debate, at least be coherent in your writings.

at least read the link I posted.

Osirak, also spelled Osiraq, (French: Osirak; Iraqi: Tammuz 1, اوسيراك), was a French-supplied 40 MW light-water nuclear materials testing reactor (MTR) in Iraq.

;)

They don't have nuclear now ... imagine that.

And what does Iraq's nuclear power have to do with its own secularity or even the Palestine?

Be coherent man.

You're starting to sound like a conspiracy theorist again.

In fact, what does Iran even have to do with the poor human rights record in the Palestine, even?

Nothing. Iran's problem is something else entirely.

Poor human rights record does not equate to justification against perceived nationalism.

Your sounding as though you think Iran is the epitome of human rights ... you recall the recent election right?

Why didn't Obama admonish them? Why focus on Israel?

Last time I checked, Israel didn't kill their own.

Let me refresh your memory - Iraq had a nuclear reactor, it got blowed up. Iran has one, Israel is threating to get it blowed up too.

Iran is backed by no one. Except Russia and China. And only reason why Russia and China are interested in Iran is because of oil. So Iran is effectively a rogue nation, whose faults are only their own. If Iran self-destruct, like North Korea is doing right now... it's all their own fault-- no one else's. :)

Israel... however is backed by most western nations, and right now they're getting tired of the whole charade in the Palestine.

I am sure he will "dine" with the enemy of an ally (but refuses to dine with an ally). What kind of message is that?

Obama renews call for Iran dialogue - CNN.com

and I am copying from another "conspiracy theorist" of these forums ;)

Meanwhile, in Washington, 337 congressmen – three-quarters of the House of Representatives – signed a bipartisan letter to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressing solid support for Israel and the expectation that differences between Jerusalem and Washington will be smoothed over quickly and in private.

“We are writing to reaffirm our commitment to the unbreakable bond that exists between our country and the State of Israel and to express to you our deep concern over recent tension,” the letter read. “A strong Israel is an asset to the national security of the United States and brings stability to the Middle East.

and has he?

Have you seen what kind of message you're sending? it's delusional.... really.

Isn't Iran the one who says "We don't have homosexuals in our country" That is a clear picture of denial of human rights to pretend it doesn't exist when it does.

There are two groups of people who would rather fight over a piece of sand rather than ensure that their children live and thrive. Neither side is very enlightened.
