Obama burns!

No. He did not declare war on Iraq. Congress voted to go to war....both parties.

you sure about that? please re-check it :)

That's like trying to describe a Burning Man in the middle of Nevada Desert which happens every summer with thousand flock for that kind of party.

People gave him a chance until he declared war on Iraq.

I don't remember any anti-Bush message until 2003...

Mmm... I do remember how many anti-Bush things, actives, and etc etc before and after 2003. :dunno:

Still requires Congress approval. Congress is the only branch that has that authority. A president cannot declare war.

you might wanna remind that to GWB :)

btw - you might wanna check on that as well. The President is allowed to use the military at his discretion. It does not require Congress's approval. that's the beaut with Executive Order. It's gray.

If you means jokes about his Texan drawl, the fact he choked on a pretzel, his relationship with Jeb Bush, his education, his involvement in Air Force One.... yeah, sure. But I don't remember anyone explicitly attack his policies until around 2003.

March 19, 2003 - Bush launched "Shock and Awe" campaign on Iraq without UN's & Congress's approval. GWB did it all by himself with his Executive Order.

Kokonut - Congress has never declared war on Iraq. Please show me the source that Congress has declared war on Iraq as you claimed.

*note - ADer - please repost this for kokonut to read because I believe I'm on his ignore list.

Ah, I see. I see differently. There were more than just jokes about Texan drawl, the fact he choked on a pretzel, his relationship with Jeb Bush, his education, his involvement in Air Force One.

I do remember at my school or at my friends' houses, adults, a few parents of my friends, and others were complained that Bush don't need any chance and they were really bitter about it. Even my mom is still very anti-Bush. I do remember they criqitzed his policies before and after 2003 for anything else..

Why would he have you on ignore, but leave jilio un-ignored?

Why would he have you on ignore, but leave jilio un-ignored?

1. not a single response to my posts for quite a while
2. probably put me on ignore cuz I'm always exposing him of intellectual dishonesty? :giggle:

Ha, reminded me of the anti Bush campaign called pants on fire. They pulled his effigy complete with flaming pants across the country. It was great. Some wagons had a marquee with his lie of the day. Oh, man, funny. There were also dolls with flamimg (fabric print) pants.

I would never post this to tick you off. I wont provide links either.

Some folks thinks burning the president is about as funny as burning the flag. Hmph.

Bush did not seek a formal declaration of war from Congress. Bush sought and received from Congress the authority for the United States to use military force against Saddam and Iraq. Ever since it's been known as the Iraq war.

Well, we now have a flaming Obama statue.

You mean Bush put Congress in impossible position where they cannot refuse the support or risk getting an unfavorable image from Americans as unpatriotic bastards? :hmm:
