??? Oatmeal

That is exactly the stuff I buy!!! Never would have dreamed of looking for it on Amazon.

Anyone else remember when Amazon was only books, and they were struggling to get started? I still have some "gifts" that Amazon sent me the first year or two - a computer mouse pad and a thermal coffee cup, with "Amazon" on them.

It's now becoming America's supermarket. Amazing what you can buy there now.

I'd like to try that. :)

What kind of oatmeal do you use as bread crumb substitutes? Rolled oats or steel cut? I assume you don't have to cook them first?

We use rolled and no, you don't cook it first. It's a great binder for the meatloaf.

I use old fashion rolled oats No, I do not cook the oatmeal first. I put in them right from the box. I use Quaker old fashion rolled . I am not sure how it would taste if you cooked the oatmeal first. You would have mixed it in very good if was cooked first. I think the steel cut would not bake as well , it might taste too uncooked. ??

OK, that's what I'll try. I bet you're right about the steel cut oats. I'm not looking for extra work so I don't think I'll try to cook the oats first if its not necc.

Thanks WDYS! :)

ETA: KristinaB, I just saw your post also. Thanks!

I also make a salmon loaf from canned salmon. I'm going to try it with that also.
