North Korea readying rockets to aim at U.S. targets, state media says

If I'm a general from hostile country with a nuke and I get to choose where to hit USA - I don't think I would choose spot closest to my country.

I would probably choose D.C. as target because that's where most of the public federal buildings are. I'm sure other countries aren't that stupid, they aren't going to waste nuke to hit random place.

NK had 35 submarines might hide somewhere in pacific sea. They might surprise attack at West Coast USA.

There is no way we know for sure.

American military don't shoot and destroy country capitol first. What they do first? Kill all communication networks, destroy railroad hub, kill whatever they can use to attack us. Kill communication network first is best offensive because once enemy lost their communication network they can't command anyone to attack back. Secondly destroy railroad disables them from delivery military supplies from reaching prime spots. Each countries have their own military strategies and usually that is kept top secret.

Why never capitol city? Simple, most government military aren't that stupid, they won't locate in their capitol, so they set up somewhere else where no one knows. Here in America, we do not know where the actual military command center is but could be anywhere and could be underground... maybe right under your home for all we know.

LOL!!! I'm seriously doubt that NK will going nuke California.

They only over Japan, closer to Hawaii.

It won't show "Taepodong-3" brand missile on list shown. I think NK bullshit us that Taepodong-3 missile for use space program as satellite launched in space already.

I sense common that NK leader send 35 submarines somewhere in pacific coast sea for surprise attack at West Coast USA.

The modern history of Korea has been about alliances. A small country surrounded by big aggressive dogs. It is a history every American should study before saying anything. Start from the beginning of American- Korean relations and follow it all the way to the present. It is the only way we of the present can have any real understanding of what goes on there.

In a shorter range view, this is the tried and true act by North Korea that brings results. The beginning of every Presidential Administration cycle in the US is prime time for the act to get the DEAL. Millions of gallons of diesel fuel, financial aid, etc. Every administration Republican or Democrat here for decades has caved to it. The Bush administration as well.

Does not matter, what if they decided to spend mostly on military and refused to upgrade whatever system in the country, can it happen? You figure it out. Never know! But, Im not concern at all. Thank God I live on East coast.
Does that mean if you live in West coast, would you worry? JK! I now realize that NK is nothing so that's why Jiro doesn't worry about it. He knows more than us.

One thing I don't like about NK is a violation of human rights. Human rights advocates are watching NK now.

I'm thinking of create a "Red Dawn" division here in CA - anyone is welcome to join! :D

Okay, I'm not serious. :P

I'd like to move to West, but since Golden state isn't Gun friendly state, I am not moving there but anyway, I would still not worry about it anyway. I would be even worried of less of us have guns and they are out of practice and I can't image how respond if they ever invade us. That is why I am against stricter Gun control.

If you never shoot gun, your as good as dead when somebody invades you. But if you owned and shoot just for the fun and your markmanship increases, which gives you better defense in event something like this happen.

I'm sure about there are loophole in CA gun law and the shooting range is very popular in rural area.

If you are looking for gun friendly state - Arizona is your best bet, so is Utah, Montana and Idaho. Oregon, Washington and Colorado are much friendlier than CA and NY.

For me, the gun isn't factor to my relocation choice and I can deal with CA gun law.

Texas is okay but I don't like Texan legislation system for now - if it is similar to Colorado so I will love it.

It ain't North Korea that worries me. It's the very fact that California (West coast) is about to break off and become an island if it doesn't wash away first.

due to earthquake?

The difference is

Not worry: High risk of getting killed
Prepared: low risk of getting killed
Paranoid: extremely low of getting killed.

I am not paranoid, I wanted to be prepare for the unexpected. There is quote "Expect the unexpected". So what that means is if you are not expecting the unexpected, then your in deep trouble. Wow, you have too much faith in US military. They are not perfect, and they don't have enough soldiers to protect every US citizen.
