Nokia 9290 Communicator

I learned a little about it... Anyone bought it or knows someone bought it? I'd like to know if it's good!
And I don't know if this network thing can work outside of USA?

Nah, I think I'll just stick with simple RIM or maybe sidekick.

I am on PDA with wireless. Of course, I able to backup, lot thing to do like computer. Sidekick have no backup. :| battery isn't longer last. :( Oh well..
 
I don't think that worth to buy that fancy machine stuff. I would like to able useful instead of the fancy stuff but Sidekick is nice tool like RIM too. However; Nokia sometime made no sense to me.
 
yeah i've heard of that, my friend have one but i don't know if its really good

I guess u will be surprise to hear that buddy as in england over a millions of deaf used mobile phone coz it got text messaging, internet a free unlimited 500 mins free internet and 500 free text message a month for 20 pound only,, i got nokia 6100 as u can check it out on google, alot of deaf got nokia 9210 communicator and i try it as it is very good but abit heavy!, Also Mobile Phone is very very Affortable!, dunno why American dont have that!

It's very wide and very short... not what I would really expect from a pager. I'd rather stick with those usual RIM and T900 pagers instead.

I have a cell phone, I used to have Nokia but changed to motorola, I love the text messenging and i get unlimited for only 2.99 a month!!! I rarely talk on the phone except to call hearing friends/family that I will be late, cuz some people dont have text capability or at home. I can text to someone's email and wyntell pager too!! it is cool.........

lol yeah it is ..... and i also have my AOL Mobile Communicator too .... so anyone can contact me from anywhere

That cell phone, Nokia 9290 cost $549 or about 700+ pounds. I still don't think anyone deaf can afford like that!!! :crazy: !!
 
I'd rather stick with my pager- deafwireless. I might think about get me sidekick since it's cover here at my house. My pager- rim 850 doesn't cover at my house but couple of miles north of here! GRR :(
 
I rather stick to a small pager that i can put in my pocket :P otherwise I'll get rid of wyndtell soon anyways.. for deafwireless or hmm aol pager or whatever will help me for the best ;)

don't get pager - but sidekick is ok.
I notice that most pager cannot send text message to any cell phone. AS you notice that text message from cell phone service are over-rate than pager. Plus, pager never get good coverage in nationwide. what Cellphone does. I hear that most pager company aren't make enough money and decide might drop pager service????
