I use SMS in my Nokia cellphone/mobile phone as it is called in Europe. My cellphone is an older model from Nokia. It serves my need, and it is good enough. Almost everyone in Norway has a cellphone, including the children!
Many deaf norwegians here use a cellphone for the SMS (text message used in cellphones) here, also. No text pagers... I already asked around. Only USA seems to have that.
I also have an old PDA from Ericsson with all the qwerty keypad, and it serves me fine in situations when I need to communicate with someone else that doesn't know signs or ASL.. I just pull out my PDA and voila! We type away.. instead of writing stuff down by pen/paper.
