Ja Ja, bitte mach mal deine Bilder Minnie Mouse hier einfügt. *aufgeregt*

Danke schön!!

I voted sometimes...For work, I wear light foundation, mascara, and lip gloss and for an evening out, I add blush and eye shadow. When I was a teenager, putting make up on perfectly was a must but now that I am older and more busy, sometimes I just dont feel like it.

I'm the same way smile!!! it's best to be natural as much as you can smile

I know what you mean. I don't wear any make up when I'm outside sweating and doing yard work. Dirt, tree leaves, mulch, all kinds of stuff blowing on my face.

I do recommend protecting your skin outdoors. You might not notice it now but the results will show up years later. Cleansing your face deeply but gently each night. Using sunscreen and appropriate moisturizer during the day. (Even oily skin needs moisture; moisture is not the same as oil; moisture is water.) Reapply sunscreen during the day if you're outside all day or if you sweat a lot. Use extra sunscreen for your lips, and wear UVA/UVB sunglasses to protect your eyes (it will also reduce future crow's feet that result from squinting).

For all the ladies:

Don't forget to scrub off the rough elbow and heel skin every day, and use lots of body moisturizer on those areas. Sometimes we focus on just the face and forget the other "rough" areas.

Also, treat your neck and upper chest skin like face skin, not like body skin. If you don't believe me, notice some old ladies' necks. The necks wrinkle worse than the faces. Be especially careful about that "V" shape of tan that you get at the neckline. Maybe it looks good now but it will look like a plucked chicken skin later, if you don't take care of it. :)

Thanks for the advice Reba. When I am outside I usually have on a ballcap and sunglasses, much like you see in my signature photo (yup thats me).

But I have actually started to tan a bit from all the outdoor activities and yup I am redheaded, fairskinned, and nope I dont use sunscreen although I know I should since melanoma runs rampant in my family. I already have an abnormal mole on my armpit. Right now Im not worried about it since it is not growing, but when its starts growing I'll be like yup I have skin cancer - then ask the doc to remove it and run biopsy. If its the serious stuff then I'll do the whole treatment thing and whatnot. I know I sound like Im not worried, and truth is I'm not. I know what cancer does to a persons body but if thats what happens, then it happens, I deal with it and move on.

As for chicken skin, yeah, my grandmother has it, my grandfather has it and now my mom is getting it. My dad is not only grossly obese, but his skin is seriously messed up his fingers look like cooked hotdogs, seriously. Its gross sitting at the table and seeing his fingers, lol.

Maybe Im just not up on this beauty thing. Im a tomboy at heart. I prefer to do boy things than girly things and Ive been that way for as long as I can remember.

I am sorry that you have the skin cancer. I saw on the news that there is a new "non-laser" blue light that eliminate the melanoma without a surgery. It is almost like a flashlight. It was on the news last year. It could be CNN. I could try to find that info on the website, and it is probably not easy to find one because it announced last year. I think that you shouldn't ignore it because it can spread in the blood stream.

If a woman does use make up it shouldn't be obvious. The success of make up is when a guy looks at a girl and thinks, "Wow, such natural beauty!" even though she's wearing make up. No one should ever think, "Wow, such nice make up!" That's the wrong goal. People should notice the face, not the make up. That's the right goal.

Faking 'natural beauty' will create the illusion that you need to have flawless skin, perfect cheek bones and all the right tones when it's just a huge lie. It makes alot of chicks who are in actual beautiful in their own way feel infenior like they can't match up unless they join in.

If you want to have healthy looking skin, why cover it with foundations? Why not just EAT healthy and take B-complex 3-4 times daily. You'll still have a few spots here and there, skin tones that don't look quite right but at least its you and you should be proud of your own face not needing to hide it with compounds.

The reason I like lipgloss, eyeliner and nail polish. 2 of them are just plain fun. Eyeliner I like because it happens to bring out some girls eyes really well. Lip gloss, who doesn't want to kiss wet looking lips that have a hint of pina colada flavor on them? and nail polish... i do believe is a female bonding ritual! and well.. many chicks find it fun I think and I sorta dig colorful nails on chicks... I don't know why :P

No one is "perfect", and perfection isn't the goal. I'm saying that make up shouldn't be obvious.

I'm not saying you should "cover" your skin with foundation. I don't even use foundation myself.

Why can't a person eat healthy, take vitamins AND use a little make up?

Last time I checked, lip gloss, eyeliner, and nail polish ARE "make up" products.

You have your personal preferences of what appeals to you, and that's fine. But that doesn't work for everyone, and that's fine, too.

OK before this gets out of hand I am going to clarify---

I do NOT have cancer, but it does run rampant in my family so when I get old, grey, and hairy in places I shouldnt be, then I'll probably develop a cancer of some sort. :afro:

Okay. Well, you said, "I already have an abnormal mole on my armpit." I just want to be caution. That's all. We will probably fart a lot when we get old. :giggle:

thing is though abnormal moles can mean cancer and moles can just be plain abnormal and funny looking. Cindy Crawford made moles sexy there for a few years.

If cancer runs in your family, you do need to be more careful because of the higher risk factor.

I'm just going to avoid getting into a clash of opinions here, but I'd like to point out a few things - I know those 3 products are make up. Also, if you eat healthy and take care of your skin it will LOOK healthy which was exactly what you were trying to amcomplish with the use of foundation, inturn that defeats the entire purpose of needing foundation because your skin already is healthy and has a 'glow'.

If the goal of make up isn't to look more 'perfect' and look like every other chick on MTV, then what's the point of it? Very few make up products enchance beauty that is already there and bring it out. Eyeliner is one of them.

Again, I don't use foundation. I don't know why you equate using a little make up with troweling on foundation.

Women can be perfectly healthy but still have problems with their skin. Have you ever heard of heredity, hormones, environment, injuries, birth defects, scars, and aging?

I don't watch MTV, and I don't know why those women would be anyone's idea of perfection.

I don't know what makes eyeliner your holy grail of make up but that's your preference. I know some women who never touch eyeliner but love to use blush. So what? Some men prefer blondes, some prefer brunettes. So? It's all personal preference, not moral superiority.

I don't tell women they "must" wear make up. I just say if they want to wear make up, or just take care of their skin, here are some suggestions for how to get the most benefit. It's no skin off my nose if they don't do it.

I can't live w/o make-up everyday. Sometimes I do w/o it when I stay at home.

I used to be had a heavy mascara & eyelash curler when I was in h.s.

20-30's more like less makeup still always have daily moisture lotion for normal to dry skin, non-greasy feeling and foundation sunscreen spf 15.

Except more new eyeshadow only lil bit 2-3 different colors more like texture shades very simple after age changed less color light/medium eyeshadow, still the same eyeliner, blush powder and rarely lipstick.

Heh... that is true! I don´t like with make up. It make me complicated.. LOL

I look "clown" that is really funny, It was carneval in Austria for us skiing vacation, Look at my pic, heh!!! (I am middle)

but true I had took a colors lips and mascara and make up for one time before.
I dont like that, how I look? It is too much for me *aaaargh* That is why, i will never take some a makeup again.

I think you girls are too critical of yourselves. The first thing I noticed in the picture was this huge smile. Then the dress. I thought Wow, there's a combination that works really well and looks great as well.

I only really noticed the makeup flaws after you gals pointed it out.

IMHO, it's the entrance that gets you in, the faults are really noticed later on, no matter how perfect you are (or ain't).Give anyone enough time, they'll find more than enough faults, usually much more than you'll want to know about. If your entrance is right on, you're already way ahead of everyone else and they may be taking on your rejects?

Looking at that photo again, I still think you look great SL.....

At the risk of sounding too cheeky, SL, you weren't busy kissing with the cow on your let, were you?

Reba and Jillo,

I am not at your age yet but I am starting to notice that the kind of make up that looked good on me in my 20s is starting not to look good on me anymore. I drink lots of water, wash my face, and take vitamins on and off.

Any advice other than sunscreen on my face daily?

I used Oil of Olay but it seems not to be working when it comes to moisterizing my face like before.

I dont have the time nor the money to shop for costly products or take classes about skin care/makeup so any advice?

Sorry, just getting back to this now. You know, one of the products I use faithfully is St. Ives apricot scub. I use it every night, and then moisutrize with Neutogena anti-wrinkli/ anti-blemish, because even though my skin has gotten dryer with time I am prone to small breakouts when I am under stress. Your skin also looses some coler as you age, so that the shade that worked 10 years ago probably needs to be lightened up a bit now. I just use Nuetrogena lightly tinted moisturizer with sunblock during the day.

NEVER! I don't see the point in makeup, so I don't bother. Not for me.

i don't wear make up when i am at home only i go out like go to a wedding and etc.. shrugs
