nope. we are the most hostile species in this planet. and we are the only species who would murder each other for no reason.

If the world is publicly informed of alien contact, the fear would be rampant - Armageddon. Doomsday. "God has punished us". etc. I have nothing against religions but it is undeniable fact that we are driven by religions. Every facet of life is religiously motivated, religiously guided, and religiously controlled.

I do not support the public disclosure of alien contact. It should be kept highly classified. It's too dangerous. maybe in the next life.....

I appreciate your comments but will politely disagree. I feel as though the public has the right to know. Any government that would hold such a profound secret from the public has way too much power.

I know .... ignorance is bliss .... however, I would rather know. I might panic .... for a little bit, but would take comfort knowing that if we are being visited by a highly intelligent alien race, they could have destroyed us long ago if they wanted to.

what purpose would it serve for higher-intelligent alien race by destroying us? If they're highly-intelligent and have the technological means of space travel, that would most likely means they have ascended above pettiness that we humans haven't yet - greed, selfishness, etc.

Because people doubt Michael Moore. If a bazillion UFO's suddenly showed up, and people could see for themselves .... well, that would be an entirely different thing.

I think it would be very difficult to keep such a thing a secret. Especially in today's world were almost everyone has a camera. I also don't know that I agree (or at least I have more hope for humanity than you) that knowledge of us not being alone would send us to our own destruction.
