New planet discovered may have life

Exactly. Kind of like the stem cell discussions. :P Sometime, in the future, it might be psosible.....

I have no doubt that there is life elsewhere. Kind of ego centric to assume that we are the only life form in the universe. But what does that really matter until we can have access to that other life form?

Kind of egocentric to assume we will have access to the other life form.....Maybe the other life form will have access to us.....

Or a false flag attack? Who knows? Of course you know what happens when a superior civilization meets an inferior one: one disappears.
Anyway, imminent disclosure was around for decades. I am not holding my breath.

that would be a serious violation of Prime Directive :nono:

oh you found my toy. Hover Copter. $19.95.

that statement contains one grievous error which cannot pass without revision.

Does that mean the planet is not spinning? So if it's not spinning, then there's no gravity, right?

not necessarily. this planet does have a gravitational force because it's rotating around the star - a simple centrifugal force. Since this planet is not spinning, its physics will be different from Earth physics.

If the Earth were to stop spinning but continues rotating around the Sun - it's still livable but of course - the life will be different. One side will be dark and cold and other side would be an opposite. Our ocean and geography will be different but not drastically. It's still livable to a certain degree.

In my humble opinion finding life elsewhere in the universe may have a far more profound impact on the human race than stem cell therapy.

hrmm...technology to get to there, eh? Interstellar travel, eh?

Well, we need more engineers and scientists to make that happen! It'll be awesome if I can be part of the steps leading to interstellar travel. :)

 That is why I'm still unsure about UFOs and aliens' existence. :hmm:

But I think it will be very interesting if it is another unrelated human-like races or nearly humans outside there. :hmm: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... :P Who knows!
