Native Family Attacked by Skinheads, One of Them is a Cop's Son

I don't think that'll go over well with them. :P

I watched a documentary about the Aryan Nation awhile back, and I had to laugh at the video of one of their rallies. They were the least Aryan looking group of morons I had ever seen.

It doesn't make sense. That is why it is so horrible. It can't be justified in any way. And truth be told, those skinheads no doubt have some Native American and Black blood in their veins.

Yeah, it makes me think they are from other planet.

 deafskeptic, no I honestly don't live there.
I've visited and I've read narratives and histories of things that have happened.
My dad and his family lived in Texas for a year when he was a child. Their family doctor recommended that they move there at that time thinking that the warmer climate would be better for my aunt's <dad's younger sister, now dead> health. They moved from Chicago, from large extended family.
The family didn't really like the climate though and They ran into Klan there and had some stuff happen and left.

Also as a Jew, it is useful for me to know this history and know what I could be dealing with when traveling. In small towns or more isolated areas no matter where I am, I'm always conscious of this fact.

Ah. That would make sense.

I think I look more Aryan than they do. :P

Yeah...I wonder if the hate crimes actually exist in Iowa since it is a VERY white state. I don't think I have heard of one or maybe I have overlooked one.

In California, hate crimes generally are rare due that it is very diverse state. Altho, there is a huge problem with gang territorizing other gangs and some innocent bystanders getting killed by gang's territory.

I'm sure they exist, but probably not as frequent as areas that are more diverse. In Iowa, probably more hate crimes against homosexuals than people of a different race.

yep, Jillio true that-

hate crimes exist everywhere - what happens often is that they get covered up-

I agree....I thought quite a few Iowans driving a cars with gay symbol bumper stickers on the cars are brave souls. The funny thing is that Iowa allows gay marriage. :dunno:

Which is exactly why I think we need laws on the books to prosecute hate crimes in a separate category from assault crimes. I remember the thread about the transexual that was attacked in McDonalds, and it really disturbed me how many people were opposed to it being prosecuted as a hate crime.

Oh yeah!

True, but they still have a large Bible belt type population.

Not always. Some are redheads. I used to have adburn hair when I was younger.
It is said that if you are not blonde, blue eyed, and have tanned skin from Caucasian race - you are Aryan. If you lack one of the feature, you are not pure. This is the definition by Hitler, and other notable white supreme leaders.

It is common that there are people who claims to be Aryan but they are not pure.

Yeah very! Washington state on the other hand in Seattle has zero tolerance in hate crime and gay marriage isn't allowed in WA state. It's all backwards.

I agree. Washington state, with it's liberal attitudes toward so many other things, should have been one of the first states to legalize gay marraige.

Yes, I found Iowa to be very religous...mostly bapists and christians. If the mormon settlers did settle here in Iowa...it would be a mormon state for sure.

They ended up in Utah therefore.

Yeah it should have been. I think it is the corrupt politics making it not happen sooner. :(

There's no such thing as a pure Ayran given all the invasions that Europe has undergone thru the centuries.
