I bought 2009 Ford Fiesta 5 Door, 5 speed manual in Moondust silver and I am picking it up this Wednesday. Yes, you read it correctly, wednesday this week :cool2:

black interior with leather wrapped steering wheel. And no, it wasn't in stock for the model I wanted and I am pretty happy with Silver instead. I approve the colour, sir.

Congrats! I bet you are counting the days until you get your new car! Silver is a excellent color, I am baised since silver is my favorite color

its illegal to drive vehicles without insurance in Australia. No insurance or registration will cause the car to be towed away.

For the State of New South Wales where I used to live in for 35 years before moving to the US.

Pink slip is a road worthy certificate for cars older than 3 years, I believe. it needs to be checked in annual basis prior to registration renewal. lights, seatbelts, horn, tyre thread level, brake pressure and the like.

Green slip is third party personal liability insurance. COMPULSORY and must be paid in advance annual basis prior to yearly registration renewal.

These two certificates (slips) must be in present to the motor registry with the registration paper.

If the car gets stopped by police for any reasons, the police can check the registration number to determine if the car has the collision insurance and verify registration papers to ensure its valid and has the green slip as well.

My last insurance for my car before moving to Australia was with NRMA insurance Limited and has paid about 700 dollar(500US) for a 35,00 dollar Mazda 3 SP23 for 10 MILLION dollar insurance coverage!!!!!
 
Wow! Australia is strict laws for vehicle insurance.
