Ahh! But you have yet to move on your own like a big girl. You been saying this, for a few years now.

Correction: 13 hours to L.A - 5 hours to AR would suit the total hours to 18 hours. NOT 30

Jacob is correct. The only way it would become 30 hour flight is if you went by way of Chicago then to London, then on eastward.

If I'm right isn't it an 18 hour flight from U.S. to London?

No, it is actually 24 hours if it was from Sydney, Australia so it would be around 26 - 28 hours to reach U.S -- correct me, if I am wrong.

spin the bottle and find out who's right.

The 18 hour could include the waiting time before the first flight, then the waiting time between the layover, then the flight...

Blah blah blah.. So a 18 hour flight could be a 22-24 hour flight total at a minimum.
To me, if I flew to Aussie, and was stuck around airports for a couple hours, It'd be pretty damn boring and LONG.

I have a friend who went to U.K and it was 24 hours to reach there with a pit stop at singapore airport (for refuelling purposes)

and the 13 - 14 hour flight to U.S from Australia - I stand corrected. Since I have been to U.S before.

But if I were to fly to AUS, I would go by way of LR Nat'l, then to LAX, then to AUS. 18 hours of UGH, I'm stuck in this tiny seat b/t two cows. Moo.

If I were to go to London I would go from LR Nat'l to Chicago, then NYC, then to London.

if you fly down, you will have to do a layover to LAX since that is the main terminal for Australian flights.

Yes I would expect a good 2-3 hr layover anyway, but then again I've never been on a plane so I know only as much as what I've been told.

Yeah, expect the unexpected.
