It could be, but then, I"m sure there's asians who meets the height req...it might be the cultural bias against asians?

I think if theres any real height requirements it's like 5"6-5"8. But if you have the look someone's looking for, the height requirements don't really matter.

I strongly doubt there is a biased against asians in the runway modeling scene. There are more than enough asian girls on the runway. It's hard to make such judgement over on a design haus and on it's single season and single collection.
 
I notice many people really thin person that is why not good health!!!! terrible bad notice worst not good health pain!!!

and plus... this is America where they prefer Caucasion-type.

it can kind of be in the inverse. in asia, they usually prefer models that are either caucasian or eurasian.

plenty of other countries like asian models. it's all really dependent to the designer and the look they want for that collection.
 
Top catwalk models are always tall - there are NO 5'8" models on high end catwalks. It ain't happening. They are NOT interested in hiring "average" people.

The fashion industry makes those requirements clear. You cannot be too tall either. They won't accept giants or petites. It has to meet their height requirements and weight as well.

It's like bitching that midgets can't play NFL. Hello?

Yeah I totally mentioned Devon Aoki as being 5"5 earlier. But apparently since that is sub 5"8, it never happened.
