Mass casualties at theater showing Batman movie

Funny how the other Aurora, CO incident that happened just this past April didn't get any mention by media because the killer who shot and killed one person but was stopped by an off duty policeman before he could do more harm.....
 
I think they should make like a documentary film, a little biography of each victim with interviews from their friends and family, and a timeline of pictures of the victims from infant to the most recent photos from before their murders. Then they should stick the killer in a room and make him watch it over and over and over.

One of the theory is that James Holmes had intended for the apartment to be booby-trapped to create a diversion which means, if someone had opened the door to the apartment, it could very well create a multi-hysteria to lure most of the police/rescue workers to the apartment complex. While, having the shooting taken at the theater, it is possible that the plan was to have less resources there with more fatalities, and to get away with it.

So, I'm thinking, He probably figured that since he was 'caught' and his plan didn't go the way he wanted it to be - might as well go ahead and tell the police about his booby-trapped apartment.

I actually said the same thing about Timothy McVeigh's victims and how that would be a fitting punishment. But .... there are forms of insanity where the individual feels absolutely no remorse for their actions.

this kind of massacre is not exactly the kind that you can get away from it. in most massacre cases like this - a shooter either intended to commit a suicide or to get caught just to make a name out of himself.

You may be right but I think Jolie has a good theory since the killer turned loud music on and left the door unlocked before he left his apt. It seemed to me that he hoped that someone in the building got pissed because of loud music and came up to his apt while he went out to kill. The girl living there actually did come up to his apt to complain but no one answered the door so she left. She thanked God that she didn't open his door. But if she did, it would create a diversion so he could get away with the murders.

That reminds me of the movie "Man on a Ledge".

True, and a serial killer would probably get off on it, kind of how some of them like to take "trophies". But he's not a serial killer and I'm not real convinced about how insane he is. Hmmm but if he wasn't crazy before, after watching a few dozen times he might be after.
 
Update: CNN said the killer was seeing a psychiatrist before last week's movie theater shooting, according to court documents.

I replaced the real name with the killer due to recommended request from other member.
 
I saw on the national news tonight that he was being seen by a psychiatrist who specializes in schizophrenia.
 
I watched Batman Dark Knight Rises with CC today and it is great movie. The CC isn't bad and it is yellow fonts with 100% transplant.

You need watch Batman Dark Knight first to understand the story.

This movie took 3 hours to finish.

I saw movie employees check the emergency exit doors every 15 minutes and I saw several sheriffs in movie lobby.

Thankfully, there is no shooting in our area.

I assume you meant OC. Also, you mean 100% transparent? If so, that would be hard to read. 100%??? Maybe 40%? Or you mean 100% solid or opaque?

I wonder if those officers go there everyday until after the last day of Batman showings.

I means background is 100% transplant and the yellow fonts are 100% solid.

OC (Open Captions) never have a solid background all my life. OC is like subtitles which also have no background.

I agree that CC isn't bad. My kids and I plan to watch part one and part 2 soon. I think i didn't watch the whole movie for part one and part 2 . We tried online netflix but it wasn't there. Only netflix dvd i think. so i ll bug my hub again to see if my boy and I can watch part one and part two soon. ha My girl may join with us.

I was worried about the opening firing in our area too but relieved. That sucks!

You could get DVD/BD via Amazon for cheaper and I remember about Batman Dark Knight air on FX in few weeks ago.

Without part 1 and part 2, the movie will take 5-6 hours to finish so that why they divided into part 1 and part 2. Back in Future has part 1 to 3 too.

The DVD release will be 3 months away.

Not worried, we are getting back to topic.

There weren't many members discussed off topic and we are pretty return to topic after done with conversation.

Not surprised about the killer will be charged with 142 counts.
