lost more hearing...

ya ppl can be ridiculously rude! one girl in my class is like this and always makes comments bout me being too loud and mutters rude things to me or about me under her breath knowing i wont hear her...so i told her to her face if she has a problem to say it directly to me and not to everyone else

Well done, Alicia. People need to be accountable for their actions. Good for you for speaking up. :thumb:

lol hehe u guys are funny...and no not yet that bad speech..at 90db i get 95 percent on my right ear and 80dB i get 95 percent but thats only words and in quiet..if there is noise..forget it

That's a tough drop across the board, Alica. From moderate to severe. I'm sorry, and you have my sympathy if you want it, though it seems you are okay and handling it well? I know at this point it doesn't really even phase me when I see that I've lost hearing, and the last time, when the audiologist looked at me like she was really sorry I felt like saying, "Whatever, we all got our own issues. I'll be fine, lady. Just take care of yourself."

But I can sympathize with you completely; it's frustrating when you can hear someone perfectly fine in one situation, and then not at all in another. Oh well, what can you do? Just keep moving forward.

Good on you for telling off that bitch in class! Nice job! :)

lol thanks guys and i dont mind the off topic :P lol and yes the bitch has been dealt with..she's so awkward..definitely not esthetician material..shes 50 years old with not a clue in the world about life..doesn't know what MAC makeup is, didn't know what Power point was, never been waxed or dyed her hair or even plucked in her life!, and she didn't even know what a french manicure or pedi was...if i went to a spa..i wouldn't want her near me..but to each their own...i just dont get why shes wasting her time..ahh well what can u do...

and im fine with the hearing..or lack of..just gets a bit frustrating at times..like today..at the clinic..the dr was wearing a mask..i was like great...fml..

My dentist always courteously speaks to me mask free. I kind of worry about germs, considering how close he is. Luckily he gives me nitrous oxide to so I worry far less than I would.

ya we have alot of ppl that have gotten h1n1 so it's part of the prevention code that everyone wear a mask in a clinic and hospital..which sucked cuz i was already having a hard time breathing...and that made it sooo much better...pfft

Clear masks do exist, I don't know why they never seem to use them.

I fear he already thinks I like it far too much. I think I told him I love him the last time he was putting a crown on a tooth. :P

Hahahah! My mother told me I said some pretty goofy stuff when I came out of anesthesia after getting my wisdom teeth pulled (this was 10 years ago).

(sorry for getting off-topic, Alicia!)
