Hey Alicia, I've got the Naida, too, and like you, I have a progressive loss. I remember the last time I had a hearing test, about a year ago, and I had lost up to 15db in some of the key midranges. My speech scores dropped from 20% without visual cues to 2%. I was pretty frustrated, but oh well, fairly used to it at this point. I think it was harder on the audiologist than me, LOL!
The Naida is powerful, but the transpositional feature is useless if you have a profound loss at 1500hz and above (which I do). It can't compress frequencies any lower than that. But, the stuff like water-resistance, anti-feedback, whistleblock, etc. are pretty nifty and make it worth it for me.
I'm fairly happy with them, even though the reality is no hearing aid is really going to help my loss much. What does your loss look like? Do you have normal hearing in any frequencies? I'm curious, cause I don't meet many people with a loss like mine, where I have normal hearing in some of the lower frequencies and absolutely nothing beyond 1000hz.
Good luck!
Oh, and I have black housing. I wanted the black and silver, but they screwed up the order and I didn't feel like waiting 6 weeks to wait for change.
