Driving Under the Influence of a Cell Phone is as Dangerous as DUI Drunk Driving. The Attentional Mechanism Suggests That The Cell Phone Impaired May be Even More Dangerous to Motorcyclists. All Cell Phone Use While Driving Must Be Outlawed. This is a Declaration of War.

Cell Phone Use While Driving Is As Dangerous as DUI Drunk Driving And Should Be Outlawed

It´s very long but it´s worth to read...

Good link, Liebling. I cut and pasted this as it is the foundation of my argument against cell phone use while driving. It is a well known cognitive psychology concept referring to split attention:

The mechanism of cell phone driving impairment is demonstrated in the controlled experimental literature, confirmed by neurological studies, and supported by the psycological literature to be a form of "inattentional blindness," a constriction of what cell phone users "see" deriving from the shifting of limited conscious capacity for attention to the internal-cognitive tasks associated with the give and take of the cell phone conversation away from the external-visual tasks essential for safe driving.

now what, Jillio? Are you going to say that is not bopping at all?

Maybe when you develop a sense of rhythm and are actually capable of dancing, you will understand the difference, Jiro.

Now stop with your pettiness and get back on topic.

:ty: No, I don't think you were rude at all Jillio.

And Jiro, I can speak for myself. Thank you.

Hear Again - I think you should speak up for yourself. Since you don't think Jillio's being rude at all, I guess we don't have to describe pictures for you anymore next time.

how? we're :deaf:

perhaps if you stop with your nitpicking, we wouldn't be here in the first place.

Deaf people can dance to music through vibration. I thought you knew that Jiro.

Anyways...back on topic.

No more off-topic posts from me.

I know how you feel. We already have a very serious law about car racing. yesterday when I rode motorcycle to South NJ which is 70 miles away, I saw 2 cars rushing past me at very high speed - souped up Acura car and Audi S4. They were clearly racing. I got furious at them and sometimes I wished I wasn't deaf just for that moment so I can call cop on them.

By some miracle... a few minutes later - I saw 2 highway police rushing past me to chase them. And then few minutes later when I got there, I saw the cops pulled over one of the cars and they arrested them. Too bad they didn't catch other car but I'm sure they will later because we have cameras on highways.

It´s too bad... Yes, we have the problem like that here in Germany sometimes... All what I do is  to them when I was on the autobahn. They can do speed like race car...

oh.... that's too bad... I do support teen driving but I do share your concern. That's precisely why I'm borrowing your German driver ed. We need to mold them to build good driving habits. Currently - we don't. Parents are responsible for it. I think we can do better than that. Since the government is issuing license to them, I think the government should play a role in that part as well to mold the teen drivers.

I support teens´s education first before driving lesson. It´s illegal for the parents to teach teenagers how to drive here in Germany. If they want to take driving lesson then go to driving school... It´s obligation accord German driving law.

Maybe it'll work. Maybe it doesn't. It doesn't hurt to try, doesn't it? I have read that Germany has frequently changed its driving law & education for the past decade to try to make it safer. Apparently - it seems to work.

Yes, there´re some changes in German driving law. They reduce from 18 years old to 17 years old But... but... but... the one of parents are obligate to accompany 17 years old to everywhere where they drive to except daily drive to school or work for one year until legal age... I don´t agree with that law because I don´t feel like to control my son driving everywhere for one year. Good thing is my son told me that he prefer to wait until he ends his education then consider driving lesson later... I´m happy to drive him to anywhere sometimes where he want to go.

Wow. Talk about hypocritical. If you were so sensitive to the blind, as you seem to want to portray yourself, you would have posted the description with your original post. You did not.

I described such for HA as being an irrelevent cartoon. That satisfied her.

I don't know who put the burr up your azz, but you seriously need to remove it.

I am not going to say anything about another ADer because I do not want to get banned for flaming. Please stop trying to entice and provoke me. Thank you.

*psst* *psst* *psst* Jillio, jiro and HearAgain... Can you please try to aviod to pick on each other case I am scare to lost you all to long months banned. :grouphug:

I believe I have accommodated for her on number of times in the past. Sometimes I forget. I have always respond to HA's request to describe the picture. I think my past action speaks for itself. Perhaps you should attend Intervenor for DeafBlind program yourself. Bucket's probably willing to take you there.

However - I have no needs to resort to your obnoxious nitpicking behavior. It's silly and immature.

Again - you have not contributed much to this thread. Any better suggestion in improving this situation?

Liebling,

I wanted to make my intentions clear to Jiro. I sent a PM to the mods to explain my post in case they interpret it as provoking, enticing or flaming. This is all I'm going to say since I am off topic again for this thread.

I have contributed quite a bit, and as I have stated prior, if you want to know what my suggestions are, I suggest you read the thread.

And your post belies your claim of not needing to engage in nitpicking and childish behavior. Obviously, you need to very much. C.C. Sinned explained very concisely, in another thread, exactly why that is so.

I'm finished, Liebling. I have made several attempts to get your thread back on topic, and I refuse to encourage this childish behavior any longer.
