I looked at weather for Minnesota, It will be over 100 degrees.. Man.. when will the heat wave go away?

I looked at the weather we had for today, Rachel, and we're hotter than Lagos, Nigeria, West Africa. Only they have the stickiness at 75 percent, which is higher than us, but we're still hotter. I hate this hot stuff, too!

Yeah heat wave sucks and its the hottest summeer we ever have. Good thing I have AC and fans on.. It's because of global warming!

heat wave is over here and have been for a week now.. was in low 90s then finally cool due to good pouring rains for 2 days and it was in upper 70s.. yesterday it only got up to 84.. yayaya! but heat only in mids 90 suppose to come back next week.. grrr.. think heat wave is over here. knocking on wood.. i pray....
Aug is almost here... then fall will be here SOON.. my fav season... i absolutely cant wait! heh :P

Yes Rachel -- it has been VERY hot around here too! we will have a few more days of heat advisory in effect over the weekend!

*a/c is now my new gf!*

*looks over at CoolieFroggie* sowwy babe!

We start VBS and we usually have no problem letting the kids go outside and play but omg with the heat and minnesota humidity i'm not gonna let me 3 year olds go out there that's insane

*my head bang on keyboard*..
when is this over?

kids dont want go outside.. too hot.. I have the water sprinkler.. all they whine..

now they are bite their heads off.. i am off to my bedroom.. take nap.. till the heats gone.. lol

hehe bah.. cant wait the heat is over.. am looking forward Fall.. winter and spring!! but summer.. too hot and humid in minnesota.. its like killing us..

What about taking your kids to one of 2 pools in St. Paul that would be open for free for this weekend, and a beach in St. Paul that would expand hours as well? I copied and pasted from Star Tribune:

St. Paul will open air-conditioned rec centers for extended hours this weekend; will keep Phalen Lake beach open longer Saturday through Monday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and will open Como and Highland pools for free. Minneapolis notes that it has 10 free beaches and 60 free wading pools. Call 211 for locations of other cool places nearby to escape to, such as malls.

Lucky for me because I have backyard pool so I can go swimming anytime. I decided to pull myself out of Crystal Frolics parade that will be tomorrow, and Rondo Days (it was last weekend) due to heat advisory. I already informed the campaigns that I was gonna march with that I am not going- I don't want to risk getting heat stroke, or sick- lesson learned from one parade I did 4 years ago, I didn't drink enuff of water, ended up being sick.

My house also have AC, so I can use that option too. I decided not to do any chores that requires any washing or water such as laundry until later. I also haven't gone anywhere since school ended last week, but if the heatwave contiune during 3M Golf Champiopnship, on days I have to work, I still have to go. Hope it is all done within few days.

* Looks over at Coolie* Don't worry! I got this!

Fly!!!! That WASN'T nice! :nono:

Be GLAD you don't leave in a subtropical climate like I do! We have heat indices of around 100 consistently from July to Sept! :squint: :slap:

There, Coolie! Do what you want with her.

*SCOFF* (goes away shaking head)

Meanwhile,

In Florida where it's REALLY HOT here in the SOUTH, (looking over at Fly),

It has been hot here, too. But, we're sorta used to it. In all seriousness, it gets dangerously hot here in the summer time. People in my neck of the woods, keep jugs of gatorade in their refrigerators to combat dehydration. Water is also our best friend.

The heat is no joke! Take care of yourselves, everyone.

Yeah, even you, "Miss, I love my a/c better than my g/f"

CoolieFroggie had realized that i normally DO NOT like a/c some 30 mins AFTER i had posted that -- i told Froggie, "it took u LONG enuf to figure that out!" Froggie was like :squint: LOL

BUT yes seriously -- we do need the a/c on due to the heatwave and for that ill accept the a/c being on -- its just simply TOO hot outside!

Yeah, even you, "Miss, I love my a/c better than my g/f"

*nodding* yes Oceangurl -- i am taking care of myself along with Froggie :D :scatter:

I was playing with you, ofc! ;)

Down here where I live, AC is a must. In the summertime, we turn it on midmorning, depending on who gets to it first. If I turn it on, it goes on IN THE MORNING. My Dad will wait until around noon, though. NOT COOL (pun unintended!). :squint:

But, do take care of yourselves. Don't need any froggies or Eagles droppin' from the heat.

Oh, it was nice this past weekend in Wisconsin, but today, it's awful. Good thing I went on those bicycle rides when I did!

Finally the heat wave is broken this week here in socal!! But the unusual humidity is still around. It will heat up again in august becuz that is the normally the hotttest month here but I hope the damn humidity not come back again!! Also we are getting more fires than we usually have every summer/fall now due to global warming. I think I better start the rain dance now!

For the most part, the heat does not bother me that much as long as I do not overdo it. And of course, I have central AC on but I have it on very low as I am very sensitive to cold. I get goosebumps while my boyfriend gets soaked in sweat.

I love A/C its my best friend! it was pretty hot today.. surprised me.. 95.. but the a/c kept me cool.. :) hehe..

It's been very hot here in Rhode Island too. We are facing another week of heat and humidity this week. I have ceiling fans, and they have been good so far. Even my computer has had no energy this week either. I guess we all have to be patient and wait for this heat to go by us where we will be comfortable again.
