Least favorite errand to do?

That IS weird. I don't do that here in IL when getting my State ID-- just need to show who I am, and be in and out. Usually takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to get my state ID and off I go, and I get to sit in the front-- it's allowed here in IL.

I think Ambrosa had to raise her right hand to get the truth of getting her license because it is close to the border of Mexico. They just want to make sure the Mexicans are not lying about coming to Texas and trying to get a license to drive a car or truck. :hmm:

Got it done on the second trip, but had to wait for two freaking hours. That's just ridiculous, I didn't even get my license, they gave me a piece of paper and are mailing my license, should get it in 2 weeks.weird, and I had to raise my right hand and swear all the info I gave them is true. Weirder. Welcome to Texas
Interesting. Let's hope you get the mailed license with no glitches. I know you don't want to go back to DMV.

That's a good point. I never thought of it that way. Interesting. I learned something new.

Maybe it wasn't a good idea to go on a Monday. :giggle:

Here in CA you can make an appointment. I am always shocked with the long lines and no one in the line with an appointment. They do it the same way here, you get a temporary and then they mail you the real thing in about five days.

Hopefully you don't need to go to the DMV for many, many more years.

Or the first Monday of the month ;) but my days off are Sunday and Monday, not a whole lot of choice blaaaah but it's done and hopefully won't have to go back for another 6 years :)

How much of the backup could have been caused by first Monday of the new year. I am under the impression that Monday can always be busy for such offices and the first one in the new year might make it worse.

I see now that a number of us thought about Monday and were typing at the same time!

Anymore you would be doing a renewal since you already have one. The rules for renewal and first one in that particular state could well be different.

Many stores nowadays have self-checkout lanes. If you can't get to the express lanes, maybe try the self-checkout lanes? It might go faster for you. I don't bother waiting in line to buy my items; I use the self-checkout, and off I go. Less than 10 minutes of waiting.

That's obvious and way to easy....they're closed. Unreal, they have lines all over the place and only a few registers open and express and self check out closed. You've got to wonder what idiot runs those stores that can never get a clue....One Sunday I made the huge mistake of shopping before a big game (football) never again.....

At the one I use we don't have self-checkout lane(s). The one for express sometimes has no one at the register as they are helping bag at the next one or so. But, if you pull up there they come to check you out.

Yeah, cause I had to get a change of address, so that's how I knew how long it usually takes for me to get through the process.

I hate washing greasy, sticky, baked over pots. HATE IT.
I'd rather cook, which I don't love either.

I don't like dish washing, either, but I LOVE to fry potatoes. Give me a skillet or a pan of oil, and a bag of potatoes, and I'll show you what I can do.

I'd love to try your fries, but who's gonna clean the skillet afterward, eh??

not me!! :D

to be clear, I don't mind washing plates, cups and the likes- as long as these
are not caked on, greasy pots and pans.
I make sure to rinse off every dish, cup, cutlery off upon putting it
and leaving in the sink,
so nothing's sticky and dried up - very important!

it's somewhat pleasant even, then,
- the water's hot, the suds smell nice, the cleaning easy-peasy...

Is it possilble as to why some people keeps their last name after they got divroced? :hmm:

I kept my ex husband's last name after my divorce because I loved it. Now, I don't have it anymore because I married again.

My least favorite errand to do is to go food shopping. I hate it!

Is the skillet cast iron?

I believe so, yes. It's a Chef's Choice skillet.
