Also the revenant is a bloody good film ,
it reminds me of
Pulp fiction because of the way it make violence 'too real' (no, i like it im saying whats been said about it) or 'too violent' which i disagree, Tarantino simply try to remove that numbness associated with cinematic violence, AND poke fun making some of the film really funny, mixing extremee violence and making is funny - indeed he did so.
so back to
The Revenant i was turning in my stomuch watching some scenes of spewing out embalming, sucking blood from victims....it was gross , GROSS!!
the way the cinematography was done (again, it reminded me off Pulp Fiction), to show the sucking of the blood for survival was depicted as UNROMANTIC, UNSEXY as does in many dracula, vampire genres...
this film was really something, sci-fi disguised as horror-comedy with a drop or two of realistic drama...it was an outstanding blend.
Id give it a A. How or why it not widely known or popular sure beats me. Guess the crowd cant handle rawness of the gross factor, the black comedy stirred in for good measure...with drop of dramas enriching the aroma of this blend.
Seriously, this has to be the best Horror/comedy ive seen in 2011 (although a bit old being at 2009 for its release..) Glad i saw it!
