Just got a new Mac!

I just purchased a new Mac today because I needed an upgrade from my 6 year old PowerMac G4. This is my 5th Mac since 1993 and my first all in one Mac, because I've always owned modular Macs since. It is really much faster than my old PowerMac G4. It's also a birthday gift to myself.

Here are the specifications for the iMac

20 inch glossy LCD screen
2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (it's upgradable with the ZIF socket)
1GB memory (up to 4 GB of RAM)
250GB hard drive
8x double-layer SuperDrive
ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with 128MB memory
Built in airport extreme card (wi fi)
Bluetooth
Slim aluminum keyboard with mighty mouse
 
CONGRATS! wow its awsome specifications what you got great quailty one! Is it for your birthday, its not?? will you post of your sweet picture this?? that would be super neat!

Excellent choice, Seq - I want to purchase one of the laptops - I hear that it is hard for the hackers to get in also the viruses too but man, they're expensive :( but congraulations again.

Wow, that's a nice laptop you got there. :) My first Mac was a IIci with a floppy drive back in 1993. :) Thanks by the way.
 
I never had a Mac but congrats on that and your birthday :deal:
 
I just configured my pda/phone to tether with this iMac via bluetooth as a wireless modem. It works like a charm! I am posting via this connection. ;) Nice to have a back up in case I don't get internet with the cable modem.

Now I'm back on cable internet connection. :) It's a really nice feature.
 
I have been drooling to buy new Mac. GRRRR! I m happy for you to have fun on FAST computer. It is perfect to have Leopard running on your Mac! I m patient to get one for my own! 4th purchase was my 2003 powerbook G4.

I m not sure about new Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard date release on Oct 20 or 26. Because Apple still not announce the date.

You must love the speed of Intel!

I wanted IMac (laptop, not sure exact term for it) in future. I know they are expensive!

my brother and i will order my new laptop macbook very soon might be in like 2 weeks or so through my brother's work, he works at apple it will be my 2nd laptop since 2003 my first one last long and it was really good and now it is getting old need new one with new upgrades stuffs.
can't wait heh
