Thanks! Yeah I like the speed of the Intel Duo core 2, it's pretty fast!

The rumors say Leopard will be out on Oct 26th, but we will see. ;)

Thanks, Laketahoe! It's called Macbook and Macbook Pro, those are the 2 levels of Mac laptops. There's also Mac Mini and Mac pro, too. The cheapest Mac is the Mac Mini, you can get it for $599. All you need is a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

My blackberry 8800 doesn't work with iSync. Made me so mad to have to buy a separate program!

I don't use isync. I use mail2web to sync data like addresses, appts, etc thru microsoft sync app on the phone, it works like a charm. I can browse and update address on the mail2web's site and it syncs to the phone. nifty, huh?

nope, not at all. as long there isn't reflective light in the background and you'll be fine. I have light next to the wall, not behind me. I like the glossy screen because its more vivid colors, crisp picture.

Perhaps, however for graphic designers and people who work in multimedia, it's better to work with matted screens rather than glossy screens due to the accuracy of colours.

So, there are different purposes for a glossy screen and a matted screen.
 
banjo, I'm not a professional graphic designer or color publishing so I could care less. I use it for general things not related to serious business.

oh, and its based on their preference and opinions. Some would say they can work with a lcd panel, some with a crt monitor. they have different methods. there is nothing to argue about and please leave this thread alone. I only wanted to inform people about my new computer, not argue about preference and opinons. I only want to hear congratulations and stuff. thank you.

I'm not arguing. I'm just telling you that each type of screen used for monitors are made for different purposes.
 
to me, it doesn't matter as long it is good quality display. everyone has their preferences. :)
