Job motivation

oh btw - what do you do??

LOL - I spend on AD at the same time while I work, Jiro!

I am a business analyst.

ah... i can see why. that kind of job tends to get boring after a while... save up enough money and then form your own business! or your idea! and then give me your small percentage just because I gave you motivation and idea :cool2:

I know that you are boring of this job. You still become business analyst. What degree do you guaduate from college? You should get master degree in business development or engineering.

jake can put his intelligence to use during his free time after work. Your job is just a money to fund your ideas. So perhaps spend less time in AD and more on making your life more interesting (after-work life).

Which is exactly why people should look at employment from a career perspective rather than from a "job" perspective. I agree with Shel90.

I am never bored with my teaching job because it challenges me intelligectually but I do get burnt out from doing too much in a short time.

I understand that. But better burnt out for awhile than so bored you dread going to work every day. We spend too much time at work to be doing a job we hate. JMO.

That was my job working for Farmer's Insurance in the early 90s...It was a full time job from 7 am to 4PM. Every morning, I was always in a bad mood about going to work and I was always watching the clock willing it to move faster.

At my teaching job, I am always watching the clock willing it to move slower. :laugh2:

don't we all wish we'd look at our jobs with that perspective... (well except me :cool2:). I love my new job but I'll probably hate it after 2 years :laugh2:

 Oh, sorry.... I just got home and it is after 1am here... just checking before I crash. I have been thinking and I should just keep the job since I need to clean out my stupid credit card :(

Never quit a good job unless you have a better one already to go to.

This is true too. But nothing prevents you from searching your options for a new career that better suits your interests while you are doing the job you aren't fond of.

If you are expecting to hate it, don't close off your options. Keep searching. Perhaps it isn't the job for you, or perhaps you need to review your career choices.

I cannot say anthing further about my job position, I am just a business analyst in a austalian government, and its strict policy. So if you want to know what it is, try researching, unfortnately.

that's what I did. I spent my youth building experiences from drone job. I've acquired enough experience and expertise so I typically last about 1 year per job because I was mostly hired to tackle the major challenges. I'm not interested in small routine things aka drone. My specialty is the major remake and well-rounded consultation. This task at my new job is enough to keep me entertained for a year or so.

I'll be getting a new job if my major job is done here - I don't care if they're offering me a big raise to keep me. Plenty of job opportunities around here for me to put my skills to its fullest extent :cool2:

Thank you for the link. Wow. It's a good job, Jake. I am sorry for your difficulties. Hope all get's better for you soon.

I am having difficulties within my role at my work... and I have been thinking about resigning from the department and go and find a better job than I do... but man, this job I currently have pays me the big bucks :( I don't give a schitt that they give me a boring job that I have already have the skills for, I need to find a better, ongoing job that pays me more and keeps my motitivation up everyday and more challenging.

This is disappointing.

Awhhh jakeee...I don't have a job yet since i'm almost 15. And I'll be too busy trying to find a job that will pay me with my own $$ but, word around here on AD says you're great with technology. So...Why don't you become an engineer?? My cousin is trying to become an engineer, he started being in college last year and he is now in his sophmore year this year. But my dad's brother, my uncle, is a computer engineer. So. Why don't you try doing that. If you're already doing that, my bad.
