I haven't taken the bus to NY yet...but perhaps I will one day. I don't know the exact schedules...it's not exactly published online.

you can always stay at one of the chinese "hotels" . as long as you speak chinese i think. i usually have someone set up a room for me since i am not asian and don't speak chinese. they tend to be very wary about non-chinese speakers since the "hotels" are not exactly legal. but some of them are very nice. i have a favorite on sanford that has clean rooms with a shared bath and shared kitchen that is usually $40 a night .

Haha, I've been to New Orleans before...years ago before the hurricane. I haven't seen the New Orleans Mardi Gras yet...so If I happen to be around New Orleans or in Texas, I'll let you know. xD
