Hey Jclarke, you have the same tuilip festival like we have here.
Washington state also has the tuilip festival every April for 1 month in Mt. Vernon area. It is famous for that event and it's well known, too. It is about 55 miles north of Seattle on the I-5 corridor. Nice pictures you took of Australia coast.
I see there's nice Eucalyptus tree forests in Australia, they remind me a grove of those similar type of trees in California. Several of them were planted early as around 1700's to 1800's because they thought it was great wood to build houses, but it wasn't since it warps in a few years so they're kept many of them as windbreakers for areas that have lot of hills with no trees. They are fast growing trees, also.
