it's amazing... I don't think you understand that tax cuts given by Bush is way too much tax cuts for the wealthy.

Only top 10% makes that much money. It cracks me up that the rich tries to persuade you that you're one of the top 10%. You ain't. You are still getting more tax cuts than the top 10%.

When you make $200,000 a year, you have more than enough to live comfortably. To whine about how more tax money will be used to make the government run and pay its employees is just appalling.

When you make 1,000,000 and tax rate is 40%, you have 600,000 left and that's MORE than enough to have you live comfortably. There's no justification to demand more tax cuts.

So, how do you encourage misers to spend? The ones I know in real-life has no interest in using their wealth for luxury, retirement, charity, inheritage or for investments.

The wealthy do have the rights to complain, but they are scapegoating the wrong group of people.

Doesn't matter how you earned it, you must pay a fair share of your income.

Fair share...... You bet. Everybody pays the same rate. That is fair.

This, I agree with in theory, however when one starts factoring in habits like hoarding which shift the equilibrium field, you can't always trust the invisible hand on its own.

Not putting down misers since I have hoarding tendencies myself and if left unchecked, I will be exactly like them.

But, in fairness if the government is going to use different rates to insure that misers are taken into account.....shouldn't the government go to the same effort to make sure the freeloaders aren't funded by tax dollars? That's fair too. Should an able bodied person with a job be allowed to quit in order to take government benefits?

Nobody I know has a problem with helping the TRULY needy.

Of course, instead of raising taxes, they could start looking at their military budget.

What about cut the federal funding on highway, kill the stimulus package, rid of extended the unemployment benefits, cut the pay to congresspeople, president and federal workers, end the Saturday delivery and close some of postal offices, rid of taxpayer funding on PBS, replace the TSA employees with private security officers to check on anything before you boarding on plane like just back in old way, etc.

FYI, I don't support or against any of kind above but just give a idea to balance out the budget.

I can get behind all but the highway funding. But only cause it is a safety issue if pot holes stop getting fixed.
