Is this true about Gallaudet?

I know. I did not get any full scholarship when I attended Cornell and suffered with paying tuition through scholarship but no loan.

It is tough to work on paying tuition at ivy league school.

Then go somewhere else and stop bitching about it.

Yeah, I know.

I will need to find a job with high paying then I can still pay tuition at harvard but depend on scholarship and loan someday.

Yeah, go out there and find that high paying job.

I thought your parents were wealthy business people. Why would you need a scholarship or loan?

I think you're a fake. I think you have posted nothing but lies. You said repeatedly at the beginning how rich your parents are. As if you were bragging. Now you're talking about needing scholarships and loans?

Did you see DBG's thread "Hello Troll!"?

Dude, Matajan, GRE isn't that hard. :P :P :P :P :P Had you taken the SAT test? GRE is similar to SAT but bit harder although.....the GRE math section is a complete joke.

If you really that desperate to want to meet an ivy girl, I can hook you up with a Harvard student for you to take out on a date in the future. Just let me find the ugliest and meanest white Harvard girl I can find. :P :P :P :P

Oh, well. I never take SAT. I took ACT, scored is 35.

Sure, no problem.

It is? How so?

Acceptance rate is 27%.

It is not easy to get into gallaudet.

They are looking for students who had high gpa and score on sat. Most times, they recurited mainstream students who had all of this. But school for the deaf seem limit or less than ten percent to admit this university.

They need have students who is popular or well known or all star or achieved person from high school.

Like harvard, they would look for students with high achievement.

the reason why the acceptance rate is 27% is because majority of applicants including you does not meet the minimum requirement..... hence the remedial courses.

And perhaps if I may also use myself as an example. I was in the mainstream and was also not only an Honor Student in English but also in Math. Not to also mention taking Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus at the Junior and High School level, etc...

Who cares? I don't bring up the fact I took high school physics in the 8th grade. I don't bring up the fact that my deaf school paid for me to go to the university of colorado for engineering classes when I was 15-17. I remember the day when my interpreter announced to the class "Guess what?! It's Matt's 16th birthday today!" The entire class was perplexed looking at me.... These classes were full of 35+ year old engineers from Oracle, MCI, etc.. I took 9 credit hours at the university while doing full time classes at school. I almost never showed up to my high school classes but looking at the notes I was able to perform. Oh, I forgot, student body president, football captain, starting up a non profit thing within the school that has donated 6 figures to the school after 10 years, academic bowl captain for three years, chairperson for the prom, in VICA competitions I was beating the college students in printing in the 8th grade and on, and many more...

I don't have the need to defend the fact that there IS a problem in the Deaf education scene. There's just way too many people with individualistic relationships. I may be a narcissistic, but I do think of others.

If you're such an accomplished individual, then why this continuous need to get personal in the forum? You know there's a difference between stating one's opinion and making counter viewpoints and getting personal... ;-)

Let's see here....

I replied like that because you made the comment prior to my reply.

My point is simply that - even when I personally had the goods, I dont go around telling people that it is the shit, that it is what you are supposed to do, and to pull down others opinions based solely on MY experience. Read my last paragraph VERY carefully.

Your most previous post... "Why this continuous need...." *laughs* How many times have you have went out of your way to reiterate "Honors in English" "Honors in math" "Taking Trig in Middle School"...
Or are you saying that I shouldnt brag while you can?

FACT: it doesnt work that way. Think before you post, pick your fights more carefully from now on.

BTW: In my personal opinion, also many others I am sure of, all the book smarts you have will not get you anywhere if you cannot apply it.

That was an opinion that is directed to the general public - just stating this as a disclaimer because someone never got "Honors in reading between the lines."
