Is Michael Moore a Hypocrite and a Liar?

The term 1% refers to the 1 percent of Americans owning 40% of the nation's wealth. If you had bothered to research it, then you would know what it means and use the term properly.

To you it is, but to a guy sitting behind a Government desk that has access to absolute power, not to him/her.

It is illegal for a government employee to view tax records without authorization.

Where did they get this 1% anyway? I never bothered to research it, but that just seem awfully low to me in terms of the rich. What about the rest of the world?

Have you guys seen how the Saudi's live from oil profits. You'd drop yer jaws seeing pics of it that would make a gal like Oprah Winfrey blush.

Why just secluded in USA only?

That seems to be a pattern with you, Yiz. Failing to do your research before saying outlandish things. You really should work on that.

um.... I thought you told me that you knew what 1% and 99% are.

wow.... for the whole time - you've been arguing without knowing what they are..... good riddance.

I'm pretty sure that some of those Occupyers have already lost their jobs just for coming there. Not a cool move. If I had a job (w/o my physical problems that is), I'd keep it instead of making a stupid move by going and end up getting pink slipped for lack of work attendance.

Yiz

um..... no

they had NO jobs before OWS. they had been looking for jobs just like you and they had been struggling just like you. that's why they came to OWS to protest against 1% for continuing to take advantage of them even though they had no jobs.

That's why Obama is trying hard to pass the legislation to protect unemployed students from debts. He stated that it does not make sense to make them pay back what they owe when they have no job. It would make a better sense to hold onto debt to let them use their remaining fund left to find job and then pay back when they get a job.

makes perfect sense.

Capitalism works very well. Problem is greed from people in position to be greedy. They are the ones that think $10 an hour is too much and ship jobs to China. They also avoid pollution control laws (I can still see the moon at night, who cares?) and child labor laws (Idle hands do the devil's work!) in an effort to pad their own bloated salaries.

Both sides the Libs and the Repubs are at fault. You have Repubs wanting cheap labor and the Libs wants to tax the crap outta ya, even the poor with very little incentive in return.

They are BOTH the reason why our economy is tanking. They BOTH (the two party system) needs to be gone and replaced with a new set of party systems with MORE choices for us to choose from as who to vote for (not just two).

Yiz

No, Yiz. It is illegal for him as well.

Don't matter to them, they don't care. Blow the whistle on them, see how far you can get. To them being a Lib or Repub, they just don't care.

Yiz

It's still illegal to view or obtain someone's tax records without authorization. What part of that do you not understand? Places like H&R Block are required to have my permission in order to view my tax records. However, they are not allowed to disclose them to anyone else.

Ok, I will attempt to make this as simple and straight forward as possible. Does anyone actually read what they sign anymore?

Then if one doesnt read the fine print, then they will get screwed. However, if it was so important for people to read, why put the information in such such fine print?

The question posed to Michael Moore was "are you one of the 1%?"

He said no.

There's nothing wrong with being wealthy. It's far more preferable to being hungry and broke, that's for sure. that's not what was being debated here nor was it the point of your first post.

Ok, here's how I look at MM.

Some lib hanging out at Occupy and sees MM....

Lib: "Hey! What are you doing here?"

MM: I'm with the 99%!

Lib: No you're not, you're rich, a Capitalist who makes films and crap. You don't belong with us. Get yer butt over with the 1% and btw, share me your wealth!

MM: No! That's my hard earned money!

Lib: Are you for sharing the wealth?

MM: Most certainly!

Lib: Then gimme!

MM: NO!

That's how I see MM. A hypocrite and a con man, using Occupy for his own personal BS agenda and taking advantage of the Occupy movement.

I ask you again for several times - Did Michael Moore profit from the poor? exploit them? acted like those corporations which make billions of dollars?

and he did give away his money such as paying for his enemy's wife's $12,000 medical bill anonymously.

I want to be wealthy and not worry about money. I would rather worry about other things if I can help it.

Welcome to the club, you and me both. But it won't happen with the two party system in place. They need to be rid of and replaced with more party choices.

IMHO

I'm voting Ron Paul, whether he wins or not. At least it'll be something I'll be proud of.

I've noticed most voting machines don't keep a digital plastic pencil for me to use to do a write-in vote. I will ask for one or bring my own to fill in that little blank spot myself.

Yeah, but where are they basing that from? That doesn't seem to compute.

Yiz

I do. The fine print especially.

That is an excellent thing to do. I used to be in a high pressure sales job. There was a lot of fine print that needed to be signed. People are often furious at a later time when they discover they actually gave our company permission to do something that they thought was illegal for us to do.

Well, how do you know he doesn't donate to charity or use his money for good intentions? he needs money to make films that educate the public.

I am wealthier than my boyfriend's family. While I do try to help by buying them groceries and babysitting, do I think they are entitled to my "wealth"? Nope.

No one is entitled to another person's wealth. The issue is not about wealth - it's about corruption.
