i think the 'water damage' was done deliberate to make the locals (there) more busy with fixing than fighting...

That is ISIS - they made this video and it shows their "extracurricular" activities in Iraq. The MSM ha watered it down ... the actual ISIS video is not watered down.

I recall listening to President Obama giving his stump speeches back in 2007 - especially when it concerned Iraq. I readily recall that in his opinion, the Iraqi invasion was "illegal" and that the US had no business intervening as there were no WMDs (according to an investigative inquiry that also leaked the name of a CIA operative). He had promised a full withdrawal from Iraq and blamed the entire lack of WMD on Bush. That was what got him elected in 2008.

I also recall that President Bush warned that a reduction in force would wreak havoc, increase bloodshed, and increase terrorist activity and victories. This was simply passed off as war mongering and fear mongering and right wing propaganda. After all, the left was convinced there were no WMD in Iraq. But .... they were wrong:

I also recall that when Obama withdrew from Iraq, that the Iraqi insurgency become much more active .... creating a domino effect which led to ISIS violently sweeping through Iraq (just google the video above).

Now, there is a partisan debate concerning the status of forces agreement that Bush signed. The left is claiming that Obama was just following an agreement that Bush signed (still blaming Bush) which is not even accurate, correct, or close to the truth.

The status of forces agreement that Bush signed indicated there would be US forces in Iraq even after a troop withdrawal (combat soldiers) whom would remain in an advisory and training capacity as well as intel gathering.

Obama withdrew completely.

At this point, I am inclined to believe that Bush knew what he was doing and Obama is in over his head.

if they left them alone then you MIGHT expect cheaper oil because of good trust

that doesn't work like that and it never will. they exist only and solely to destroy America and our allies..... that also means destroying Israel and attacking any neighboring countries that support America.

letting them having a control of oil is giving them an exhoborant means of waging its terror wars against any enemy. ISIS must be stopped and destroyed. they're about 8,000 enemies strong now and are currently receiving about $1-2 million a month. its manpower is coming from any detention centers they took over.

they have already taken over dozens of cities and villages but with its manpower so small... they're also losing several cities/villages as they're inching toward Baghdad because the locals fought them off. the threat experts believe ISIS do not have enough to conquer Baghdad but we'll see.... Iraqi security forces and hopefully a good portion of Iraqi citizens will come together once again to defend themselves against ISIS.

now you know why I'm all about Amendment 2? Ukraine and now this...

hopefully the Americans do not have to bring back our soldiers on Iraqi soil again. I hope that our drones do the jobs just fine by eliminating key leaders and its HQ.

They can use Iraq as a staging point to perform terrorist activities, INCLUDING you in NZ. SO not going to happen, even if we have to collaborate with former cold war states to get these clowns under control! :roll:

wha? oil is not an issue in here. I'm just saying that when you say to leave them alone and not get involved... it means ISIS will be able to take control of oil fields that will further their terror campaigns.

oil fields and profits belong to Iraq.

The rumor mill is out that they formed as a result of the conflict from Syria. That's why they are all driving nice Toyota trucks, Humvees and armed with SAM missiles and other American weapons. They either got them from the fleeing Iraqi forces, or they were the rebels that were funded from Syria.

I in a mosque this week first and last time they very nice but apart from being treated like a leper the consensus was leave Iraq alone and put Bush and Blair on trial for war crimes..BIG punch up outside mosque as it voting day 100s of muslims cohursing people to vote for this m.p all totally illegal one cop who Bengali doing nothing big placards saying this part of London muslim and would we piss off...only one small article in paper next day about it..is laying down more lives for attudes like this worth it...Whitechaple mosque ec1
